@LeahRain77 Over a million views and no credit to me @scotdrone as the creator that filmed this timelapse video and actually put in the effort. Disappointing. My watermark which pops up as the Wheel rotates has even been deliberately partly cropped off to hide the source.

We've all rightly been outraged at the way the disability charity @scope treated @jan_murray's choir by dropping them from performing at Sunday's London Marathon and then (presumably having sought legal advice) reinstated them in *very* bad grace. It's a scandal that cancellations like this for legally-held beliefs are still happening. However, I think many people have forgotten what Scope is supposed to do and what implications this attitude from its leadership has for the (actually) most vulnerable people in society. Scope is a disability charity. Its remit is to campaign and lobby on behalf of disabled people, to provide information, advice and support when they need it and to create opportunities for disabled people. How can disabled people trust Scope to have our interests at heart when it has demonstrated such intolerance for sex realist views? In particular, how can disabled women who need same-sex care trust Scope to advocate on their behalf, provide them with accurate and up to date information and advice on this subject and to support them - and give them a voice - when they need it most? Disabled people - especially women - who need care face extreme risk from those who are supposed to provide it. Disabled women are physically and sexually assaulted by male carers at a sickening rate. Same-sex intimate care for disabled women who require it is an urgent priority. But the major disability charities, including Scope, do not agree. They've been silent on the matter for years. They're silent because they've pulled a Stonewall; they know they'll lose donations if they work in the interests of the people who need them most. And yet they hoover up donations from brilliant, well-meaning people who don't know this. So can everyone who has been so brilliantly vocal in support of Jan's choir please, please also consider contacting Scope to ask them about their policy regarding same-sex intimate care for disabled women? Could you ask them what they do and plan to do to lobby for same-sex care, to support disabled women who need it and to make the voices of those women heard? Thank you so much. @hen10freeman @sharrond62 @jan_murray @WomensRightsNet @BevJacksonAuth @Glinner

🚨 UPDATE: Scope has reversed its decision and reinstated my choir Pleased to say Scope has now reinstated the invitation for my choir to perform at the London Marathon tomorrow. While this is a win, the distress and uncertainty caused by this situation has taken its toll. At present, only one fellow choir member has said they feel comfortable performing tomorrow. Understandably so. In a statement published on their website this evening, they’ve confirmed the choir is not political - and never was. They also acknowledge that my gender-critical beliefs, cited as the reason for dropping us, are lawful -and that those views are mine and separate from the choir as a whole. All of which we knew all along. However, they go on to describe gender-critical views as “highly polarising” and potentially “deeply upsetting and alienating” - language and ideological framing that echoes previous public commentary that presented my lawful, mainstream views as extreme. While this is a win, the distress and uncertainty caused by this situation has taken its toll. At present, only one fellow choir member has said they feel comfortable performing tomorrow. We are now considering our options.

If you are voting SNP on 7th May then you are endorsing their policy of giving men the opportunity to sexually assault women in allegedly safe spaces. A policy that as we speak the SNP are trying to defend in the courts. Own it.

@backmarket I sent 2 devices for trade-in but mixed the labels. One company is sending iPad to correct refurbisher with the right label. The other company is holding my macbook air and won’t send to the right refurbisher despite having the label and they have closed the chat. I have asked you for help but no response and your phone line is down for “routine maintenance”. Please help.

@Charles70390207 @spikedonline JKR is done being abused and bullied by men. She didn’t “chicken” out she opted to not gift him millions of lucrative views by appearing on his broadcast. She told him who to invite for the discussion (For Women Scotland).

@spikedonline Rowling chickened out of justifying herself on Campbell's podcast. The "wise and wonderful" wizardess didn't even believe in her own powers of persuasion. And, of course, the simping, sycophantic Bindel would jumped, like the biddable flying monkey she is, to defend her empress.

The arrogance of Alastair Campbell knows no bounds. The trans-pandering half-wit really believed he could take on the wise and wonderful JK Rowling in a war of words. When you come for the queen, you best not miss, says Julie Burchill buff.ly/P4TYGHP

Reasons why men should be allowed to take women's stuff: 1 it's really important so men will die if they can't have it 2 it's really trivial so any woman who cares is just being petty and mean

This isn't happenstance. John Swinney instructed his lawyers to go to court in February to argue that it was a man's human right to be placed in a woman's prison if he so desired.

I wrote this in @thetimes in 2022: “Rarely in politics is it easy to draw a direct line from a single policy decision to the harm it’s done, but in this case, it will be simple. If any woman or girl suffers voyeurism, sexual harassment, assault or rape in consequence of the Scottish government’s lax new rules, the blame will rest squarely with those at Holyrood who ignored safeguarding experts and women’s campaigners.” We knew women and girls were being placed in danger, we knew the Scottish government was planning to introduce measures that would make those dangers more acute, but women trying to make the government listen to their well-evidenced concerns were described by Sturgeon in her turgid memoir as ‘hysterical.’ thetimes.com/uk/scotland/ar…

The Scottish government is responsible for this sexual assault. The Supreme Court has confirmed women’s right to single sex spaces, a ruling the SNP continues to flout. If the victim wishes to sue, jkrwf.org can assist with all costs.

Yes, the people who call themselves 'trans' exist and they deserve exactly the same rights as everyone else, which, fortunately, they already have in the UK. It would rightly be considered discrimination if a person was refused employment, housing or the vote because they identified as trans. 'Trans women are women' is a thought-terminating cliché. Men are not women. That doesn't mean they're not allowed to present themselves however they like, call themselves whatever they like and believe whatever they like about themselves. It means they haven't changed sex. If we replace the objective, observable characteristic of sex with the unfalsifiable concept of gender identify, women and girls lose, among other things, their right to fair and safe sport and women-only spaces, including changing rooms, prison cells and rape crisis services. Women and girls are provably more vulnerable to forms of abuse including sexual assault, harassment and voyeurism in mixed-sex spaces. There is no evidence that trans-identified men don't have exactly the same rates of criminal offending as all other men. Trans people exist. I have no desire for them not to exist; indeed, I wish them safety, happiness and health. However, 'existence' does not, and should not, mean the violation of other people's right to privacy, dignity and freedom of speech, or the reconfiguration of society to indulge a fallacy.
