There are things I resolved long ago I would never fight for. A job is one of them. I’ve never believed in forcing myself into spaces that require me to prove my right to exist. If I was trusted with the opportunity to contribute, I give my best. And when that season shifts, I leave with the same grace I arrived with. I pay close attention to the “weather.” Not the obvious storms but the subtle changes. The tone. The energy. These signal that something has moved. That’s usually my cue. Once the environment changes drastically, it’s not long before it begins to cost you mentally, physically and sometimes even spiritually. And those are prices I’m no longer willing to pay. So I don’t wait for things to fall apart. I pen that resignation letter, ever so politely. I don’t do this out of weakness. I do it out of self-respect. And yes, I am conflict-averse. I’ve made peace with that. It simply means I don’t thrive in spaces where I must constantly defend my worth or negotiate my dignity. There are battles worth fighting. Not every room deserves a war. PS. I am blessed with an ADHD brain. That on its own is a brutal ongoing war.

Crocs remain the ugliest, most undignified and clumsiest shoes ever placed on the market. The situation becomes even more tragic when the wearer happens to have full feet. They work for teenagers but then again, teenage fashion obeys no known laws of good aesthetics. They also work for chefs and kitchen staff, mainly because of the comfort and the fortunate reality that the rest of us don’t actually see them in the kitchen.

I once dated a “born again” girl. She spoke the language of church. She knew the Scriptures. She prayed. But behind closed doors, the character was different. The relationship hurt me deeply. I was humiliated. Rejected. Broken in ways I never expected from someone who claimed to love God. And in my pain, I made a dangerous conclusion: “Maybe a non-believer is better than a believer.” So I chose differently the next time. I dated a very caring friend who was not born again. She respected me. She loved me gently. She was present. No church drama. No spiritual superiority. No manipulation. Just kindness. And I told myself, “This is better.” I convinced myself that character is enough. I said, “I will lead her to Christ. I will disciple her myself. I will help her grow spiritually.” But slowly, something began to shift. She wasn’t pulling me toward God — and I wasn’t strong enough to pull her upward either. Church became optional. Prayer became inconsistent. My hunger for God reduced. My fire went down. Conviction became negotiable. Spiritual discipline faded. By the time I was ending that relationship, I was in a very bad place spiritually. And that’s when I understood something powerful: Association is influence. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:33, “Do not be deceived: bad company corrupts good character.” It doesn’t say bad company destroys immediately. It says it corrupts — slowly, subtly, over time. It matters who you marry. It matters who you date. It matters who you consistently give access to your heart. This is not about condemning unbelievers. This is about understanding spiritual compatibility. Two people can be kind. Two people can respect each other. Two people can genuinely care. But if you are running toward God and the other person is not running in the same direction, eventually one person slows down. And most times, it is the one who once burned with fire. The Bible asks in 2 Corinthians 6:14, “Can two walk together unless they agree?” Agreement is not just about love. It is about direction. Vision. Spiritual hunger. Conviction. I learned the hard way that you cannot disciple someone you are emotionally attached to and expect to remain unaffected. Love blinds. Attachment weakens boundaries. You think you are leading — until you realize you are drifting. If I had married her, I would not just have married a person. I would have married a direction. I would have married a spiritual climate. I would have married an influence. And influence is powerful. Marriage is not just about peace in the house. It is about the spiritual future of your life. Your prayer life. Your children. Your convictions. Your eternity focus. A person you associate with daily will either: • Increase your hunger for God • Or normalize your distance from Him There is no neutral ground. Pain made me make a wrong decision. Bitterness made me compromise. Hurt made me lower my spiritual standards. But God used that experience to teach me something deep: Do not choose based on pain. Do not choose based on reaction. Do not choose based on fear. Choose based on alignment. Because the person you marry is not just your partner. They become your atmosphere. And atmosphere determines growth. Be careful who has access to your heart. Be careful who shapes your daily conversations. Be careful who influences your spiritual temperature. Because whether you admit it or not — you will become like the people you consistently love.

This 5-bedroom Villa in Nettleton Road, Clifton, Cape Town just SOLD for R157 550 000 to a South African buyer😱 I have tweeted about this home before - it’s been on the market for years. The agent who did the deal is Lance Cohen from Lance Real Estate. It’s impressive that he managed to achieve this sale price, considering the home had been on the market for R160 million. This 5-level home named ‘The Pentagon’ is the most expensive house to be sold on the African continent in 2025 so far. Architect Stefan Antoni designed it in such a way that every floor offers incredible sea views. There is also a 16m infinity swimming pool that is heated. Other amenities include a cinema room, glass elevator, office, gym, staff quarters, steam room, 80kVA generator, and an Italian-designed (Assirelli) kitchen. Quick facts about the villa: • Size: 940m2 • 6.5 bathrooms • 5 bedrooms (all en-suite) • 8 parking bays (4 are garages)

Miracles Witnessed While Filming of The Passion of the Christ: ✝️ No Hollywood studio would agree to make The Passion of the Christ, so Mel Gibson decided to create his own production company and fund the entire film himself. While casting the role of Jesus, Mel Gibson warned Jim Caviezel: "Playing Christ will be incredibly difficult. If you do this, you'll likely be rejected by Hollywood." Jim took a day to pray. Then he told Mel: "We have to make it, even if it is difficult. My initials are J.C., and I am 33 years old. The same age as Christ. I didn't realize that until now." Mel paused: "You're really scaring me, you know." And hung up the phone. What followed was the most brutal movie role in Hollywood history. – Caviezel lost 45 pounds – Was struck by lightning twice – Whipped accidentally, leaving a 14-inch scar – Dislocated his shoulder – Suffered pneumonia & hypothermia after hanging the cross for hours in only a loincloth – Filming the crucifixion took 5 weeks – Later required TWO open-heart surgeries due to stress from the role And still, his purpose was clear: "I didn’t want people to see me. I just want them to see Jesus. Conversions will happen through that.” And they did: - Pedro Sarubbi, the actor who played Barabbas, said of Cavezel: “His eyes had no hatred... only mercy and love.” He later converted to Christianity. - Luca Lionello (Judas): Former atheist, converted to Christianity after the film & baptized his children - A Muslim technician on the movie converted to Christianity after the film. Countless millions around the world were converted to Christianity through the film. It grossed $611 million worldwide, becoming the most successful R-rated film in history. But more than that—it changed hearts around the world showing the true pain of Christ’s suffering. Jim Caviezel now proclaims Christ boldly: A role that nearly destroyed him became the one that saved countless others.

Sometimes the Timing Isn’t Right After the Cross, Comes the Crown There are seasons that come not to break you, but to slow you down long enough to see what you’ve been running past. This past quarter may have shaken your confidence. Maybe not all at once. But piece by piece — a door that didn’t open, a deal that fell through, a message that never came, a silence you didn’t expect. For many, it’s been three months of trying to stay afloat while pretending to still be in control. If that’s been you, If you’re tired but still showing up, If you’re smiling but barely breathing, If you’re hoping but secretly afraid that nothing will change, You are not alone. Sometimes the timing just isn’t right. Not because you're not ready, but because certain things require divine alignment, not just ambition. And maybe, just maybe, this is your in-between moment. To understand that, consider the arc of the Easter story — not just as religion, but as metaphor. Friday is the day of pain. A day of deep loss and endings that don’t make sense. In the Christian tradition, it was the day Jesus was crucified. The sky went dark. The earth trembled. And the very people he came to save turned their backs on him. It wasn’t just the physical suffering — it was the silence from heaven. The kind of silence that breaks you. When you know God has the power to stop it, and still, nothing happens. It didn’t just look like failure. It felt like abandonment. Saturday is the day of silence. The in-between. The stretch where nothing seems to be happening. No signs. No miracles. Just waiting and wondering. That hollow space between heartbreak and healing. Sunday is the day of rising. The comeback. The return. The moment when what looked dead comes back stronger and transformed. If this first quarter felt more like living in Saturday, in the silence, in the pause, in the uncertainty, know that you are not stuck. You are being held in a moment of becoming. The truth is, we talk a lot about the pain of Friday and the victory of Sunday, but rarely do we honour the quiet ache of Saturday. That is where the real transformation begins. That’s where faith is forged. That’s where your spirit learns to stand still in uncertainty. And in today’s world, it’s harder than ever to find that stillness. We are constantly online, constantly stimulated, constantly scrolling. And whether we realise it or not, the algorithm is discipling us. It feeds us urgency instead of peace. Comparison instead of joy. Envy instead of love. Outrage instead of kindness. Restlessness instead of patience. Pride instead of humility. And somewhere along the way, we begin to lose the fruits of the Spirit — Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control. Not because we don’t want them, but because the pace we’re moving at doesn’t allow room for them to grow. So this weekend, I offer you this truth: You don’t have to keep pushing to prove something. You don’t have to fake strength. You don’t have to apologise for pausing. Last year, I ignored that. I underestimated how much real rest matters. This year, I am choosing differently. Not because I have the luxury of time, but because I finally understand the cost of not resting. To the parent watching other families plan getaways they can’t afford, may peace visit your home in the form of enough. To the one working two jobs in the city, staying behind this Easter because the money did not reach far enough, the tide will turn. To the one grieving a loss that feels too heavy for words, This pause is holy. Let yourself feel it. To the entrepreneur watching others win while barely holding the line, keep going. Your seed is still in the ground. To the leader who has become a safe place for everyone else, may you remember that you, too, are allowed to lean. Rest is not a disruption — it is a form of leadership. The world will keep turning. Let it turn without you for a while. There are eight months left in this year. That’s plenty of time to begin again. To recover. To hear God clearly. To build with intention, not anxiety. But only if you rest. Only if you reflect. Only if you stop trying to earn what is already yours: grace. After the Cross came the Crown. Not immediately. Not without silence. Not without stillness. So don’t be discouraged if you're not seeing the fruit yet. The soil is still working. So is heaven. And so are you — even if it doesn’t look like it. Your season is not over. Your story is still sacred. Your rest is not a detour. It’s part of the resurrection. A blessed Easter Weekend to You and Your Loved Ones. Asante.
