@kakayamossy2000 @PoliceUg @CentenaryBank We should also check which customers were in the bank when the victim took out the money. Some bad guys might pretend to be customers but are actually there to tell their buddies outside what's going on.

@PoliceUg Investigation should include @CentenaryBank. Currently we have a challenge of Banks employees. You withdraw money, on the way you're attacked by boda boda riders. This is an inside work. Check and listen to all outgoing calls at the @CentenaryBank of Mubende immediately after

Police in Mubende are investigating a case of theft involving unidentified suspects who broke into a vehicle and stole cash amounting to UGX 100 million before abandoning part of the money and fleeing during a police pursuit. The incident occurred on 21/05/2026 at around 5:00 PM at Kalonga Trading Centre in Kalonga Sub-county. The suspects, travelling in a white Toyota Premio registration number UAP 811H, reportedly broke into a parked Toyota Rumion registration number UBR 308A and stole a laptop bag containing the cash. The money had earlier been withdrawn from Centenary Bank Mubende Branch and was being transported back to Kalonga Trading Centre. The victim briefly parked the vehicle and entered a nearby shop, only to return moments later and discover that the vehicle had been broken into and the money stolen. This Kenyan man came so close to defeating Coca-Cola in market share. Unfortunately, his own government couldn’t protect him or help him build a true Kenyan brand. Peter Kuguru started Softa Soda in 1997. He believed that Kenya deserved its own drink at a price that ordinary people could afford, and it worked. By 2004, Softa had taken 10% of the entire carbonated drinks market in Kenya. By 2007, they controlled 70 to 80% of the market within 200 km of Nairobi. So what happened?Kenya’s soda industry depends on recycling bottles, but Coca-Cola had the biggest collection network in the country. When Softa bottles ended up in Coca-Cola’s sorting yards — which happened most of the time — they simply disappeared. And here is where the government comes in. All that was needed was a simple regulation requiring companies to return competitors’ bottles within a set time frame. This kind of rule exists in other markets, but the Kenyan government classified it as a private commercial dispute and stayed out of it. Why? Because this was the liberalisation era, and Kenya was under pressure from international lenders to open its market and let competition run its natural course. Getting involved would have looked like a protection scheme. On top of that, Coca-Cola was one of the largest taxpayers in the country, and governments tend to protect revenue sources. In the end, a promising Kenyan brand was lost.

In June 2013, I wanted to contest for the @OfficialFUFA Presidency. The law was quickly amended to keep me out. I am back to say I am still available for that task. I can bring about the footballing glory all we Ugandans dream of. Time to save our football from thieves. Let’s take back our game

Ebola has never come from Uganda why do you call it this name @WHO what is your agenda? Why not a name in the DRC villages where it actually comes from? There is a motive here and it is deliberate. We shall and should get to the bottom of this. @RMalango2021 what are these cooking here? We need to out fox this sinister ploy!

Uganda ships first-ever processed pineapple exports to China Uganda has sent its first-ever shipment of processed pineapples to China, marking a step in efforts to expand value-added agricultural exports. The move comes as Kampala seeks to strengthen its position in global agribusiness by shifting from raw exports to processed goods. The shipment forms part of broader cooperation between Uganda, China, and the Food and Agriculture Organization under the South-to-South Cooperation programme. It follows China’s recent expansion of its zero-tariff policy to 53 African countries, aimed at boosting trade in value-added products.

Every time the Congolese put their foot down and say they don't want UN in their country, there's a sudden Ebola outbreak. But I guess correlation does not mean causation

Deploying journalists anywhere in the East DRC by an international organisation requires thorough risk assessment. Because it’s restive- and has been for a while. Throw in Ebola? No right thinking editor sitting in London or New York would want to take that chance… A Congolese man seeking treatment in Kampala dies of Ebola? Oh my! Uganda is plan B. No risk. Easy deployment. Easy logistics. Easier story to tell. Problem is, Uganda isn’t the story. Can they still turn it into a story? With some effort. But we won’t allow it. To say that there’s Ebola in Uganda has far reaching implications.

Burkina Faso’s government under President Ibrahim Traoré has shut down all laboratories involved in a controversial genetically modified mosquito project, ordering the destruction of remaining samples and halting over a decade of research. The project, known as Target Malaria, involved releasing gene-edited mosquitoes into the wild to combat malaria. It had been operating in the country since 2012 and had just received regulatory approval from Burkina Faso’s biosafety authorities weeks earlier. However, the government acted after strong public opposition, stating that the people of Burkina Faso had not consented to their country being used as a testing ground for Western biotechnology experiments. The modified mosquitoes were being developed in laboratories in the United States, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

@ShyakaKanuma @JKabuleta I relate to a game of cards. It is not solely one card that determines the outcome of the game. Reference is made to those who have ever taken Africans as slaves and still keeping them as slaves on their own land indirectly.

@magezipr @JKabuleta So why are those “tools” not working in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, all other better run countries? Even Ug is unlucky that that failed state run by Tshisekedists can’t contain its outbreaks. Sometimes we must use logic instead of jumping into conspiracy theories
