@ukemagnus FWIW I feel that the Jon you discovered arrived too early, especially for Super-Sons fans like me. That doesn't make him less valid in my books, just a victim of abysmal editorial decisions.

@ukemagnus In part, because Lois and Clark both knew that Jor-El was insane and dangerous after the "Oz Effect". I can't bring myself to believe either would even let him near their son. It's that kind of dissonance that drove me away.

The Justice League’s Bronze Age is widely ignored when it’s has some of their best stories. Then people will look at you in the eyes and tell you they suck

@ukemagnus This is my personal feelings on the matter, but the way Bendis aged up him that felt so antithetical to who Superman is and what he symbolizes that I had to step away until recently.

@the_xueyutanhua Makes sense. TM/Big Jon was the one who rescued him, so he'd form an immediate attachment. Similarly, I'm not exactly sure if Krypto was growling at Baby Jon because of the positioning in the panel.

@orthalicus If you want some unsolicited brutal honesty: he's going to be "hot" (in a radiological sense) because DC editorial spent years avoiding the narrative consequences of the age-up.

my flop goat 💔💔 he needs to do something new to distance himself from the superman mantle. i hope tomorrow man will help with this but i don't know if its an issue that can be resolved with such a quick fix
