@84_wintermute @SamaHoole Certainly takes effort and time to understand. Fruits before and after playing or lifting gives a quick caloric boost. I’m also trying to do it all completely natural. No protein powder or creatine. All whole foods and mostly clean diet. Once details get ironed out it’s amazing.

You don't need a caloric surplus to maximise muscle gain.⠀ ⠀ An intermediate natural lifter gains around half a kilogram of muscle a month. That's 15 grams a day.⠀ ⠀ Muscle is roughly 75% water. The dry tissue you're depositing daily is around 4 grams of actual protein and minerals.⠀ ⠀ Caloric cost of laying that down: about 6 calories.⠀ ⠀ Six. The amount in a single grape.⠀ ⠀ Now look at the bulking advice:⠀ ⠀ - 300 calorie surplus⠀ - 500 calorie surplus⠀ - "Eat big to get big"⠀ - "You have to be in a surplus"⠀ - 3,500 calories minimum⠀ ⠀ You're being told to eat hundreds of calories above maintenance to fund a process that costs the energy of a small piece of fruit.⠀ ⠀ Where do those extra calories go?⠀ ⠀ - Glycogen (with water bound to it)⠀ - Subcutaneous fat⠀ - Visceral fat⠀ - The toilet, eventually⠀ ⠀ The scale moves. The mirror moves. The waistband moves. The actual muscle deposition does not move any faster than it was already going to.⠀ ⠀ You cannot force-feed your way to faster hypertrophy. You can only feed enough, then wait.⠀ ⠀ The body grows muscle on a schedule. Your job is to show up, not to overpay.

@84_wintermute @SamaHoole I struggled with same for years but playing soccer. It’s insane how many calories (1200) get burned in 90 min pickup game. My maintenance caloric intake is 2700. Just to stay above the deficit line on two soccer days I need 4k calories. Lifting days are probably around 3300.

@SamaHoole My skinny ass gained 10kg of muscle in first few years of serious lifting. Now, after 15 years of training I can barely gain any muscle mass. Can't gain any weight for that matter... I don't know if it's my natural 10% body fat or constant MMA training or just not enough volume.

@WealthMechanic1 @BobbyBizScout Starting over now actually seems like a good idea since everything is so inflated. At 6% returns it would take 11-12 years to hit $1.3mil which nets about $3k per month after taxes. Just putting away $3k per month from rental without growth would be additional $430k.

@WealthMechanic1 @BobbyBizScout $200k property rented will net you $1500 monthly after all expenses. I’m in a position where I can liquidate my 401k 20 years early, buy 2 properties like that and start making $3k per month. Yes I take a huge 40% hit but I can also reinvest that money monthly and not wait

Corporate America sold you a lie: They called it a 401(k) • Lock up your money until you're 60 • No say on where it's invested • Bear 100% of the downside If you don’t want to work until 70... Stop funding the government and do this instead:

@sounds_nerdy @truthache68 @snarky_side @HermansonT69 It’s obvious that they are using same chemicals since they would be advertising their products as clean. None of the local farms or farm stands have anything that says they are organic or clean. That would be the first thing I would do as a local farmer if I had such product.

🍓☠️⚠️Exposr scans are recorded in USA Driscoll’s conventional strawberries were just tested by an EPA-certified lab for 500+ pesticides. They found residues of 12 different pesticides at levels prohibited in the EU, Taiwan, Chile, Korea, and Russia. 👀 8 of those pesticides are classified as PFAS—forever chemicals that never break down in your body. 🚫 They were previously recalled for exceeding maximum pesticide residual limits for etoxazole, a chemical linked to liver damage, bone density loss, and endocrine disruption. 🤬 Driscoll’s headquarters is in Santa Cruz County, California—which has the second-highest pediatric cancer rate in the state, 38% above the California average. 📈⬆️ Over 2 million pounds of pesticides are applied annually in the surrounding school district area alone. Driscoll’s also uses 1,3-D—it’s a soil fumigant officially listed as a carcinogen. Pass the shortcake? 🍰🤔

They do have an organic line, but with the way that they treat the other ones is appalling enough to have no interest in any of their produce. Strawberry season is right around the corner. Find a local farms to pick at that is like minded with healthy choices. Nothing like picking your own out in the sunshine!

If you could only swap one thing in your wardrobe, make it your socks. Your feet have the highest sweat gland density on your body — up to 700 per sq cm. Polyester releases endocrine disruptors and carcinogens through your skin when you sweat. One study found BPA in 100+ polyester sock brands at up to 31x safe limits. Most “cotton” socks aren’t — Nike Dri-FIT Everyday Cotton is 30% polyester. Find 100% natural fiber socks on the Oasis app.

@DeanTTraining Dean—our gym just got one. Great leg workout/activation. Was happy with that. BUT—the belt grinds on my hip flexors, left crazy bruises too. Restricted mobility a tiny bit too. Does the belt go higher? Then it sort of IS putting a stress on the back. Just curious your experience.

Want to get the most out of carnivore? Avoid: Chicken breast. Turkey breast. Tuna. Extra-lean mince. Flat iron steak. Protein shakes. Cottage cheese. Egg whites only. Eat: Ribeye. Brisket. Butter. 20% fat mince. Lamb shoulder. Pork belly. Eggs with the yolk in. Blue cheess. Butter. Double cream. Also butter. And eat to satiety. When you lose any willpower to keep eating. That last part isn't optional. That's the entire mechanism.

@UziCryptoo 4.5%*.65 =2.925% … don’t for get you have to pay state and local taxes on earned interest. The margin gets smaller. $20k paid early cuts significant amount of time off back end of mortgage in early years.

CALLER: I opened a High Yield Savings Account. My $20,000 emergency fund earns 4.5% interest. That’s $900 a year doing nothing. DAVE RAMSEY: Get rid of it. Put that $20,000 toward your mortgage! CALLER: But I’m earning $900 a year for free. DAVE RAMSEY: Debt is the enemy! Pay off the house! CALLER: My mortgage rate is 3%. I’m earning 4.5%. DAVE RAMSEY: That’s not how you get rich! In reality, if your savings rate beats your debt rate, keep the cash. That’s called arbitrage. Every dollar matters.

@JasonValZz @SamaHoole It depends on the goals. Just body building will not make you athletic. If you are an athlete, you will need to do other work to improve. My goal is to build lean muscle, remain athletic, flexible and balanced. In my case it’s probably not attainable in 4 45min days.

@maloy123082 @SamaHoole It Is not possible. These guys telling you they have very short gym sessions skip most of the muscles because they get trained "during other exercises" (which is not true). I guarantee you he doesn't train forearms, abs, adductors, abductors, calves and erectors just to name a few

What you think a hypertrophy session looks like: Two hours. Three exercises per muscle. Drop sets, supersets, finishers. Sweating through the shirt. Crawling out of the gym. Meal prep for ten meals waiting at home. What a hypertrophy session actually looks like: 45 minutes. Five exercises. Two heavy working sets each. Fully rested between. Walking out feeling like you could do it again. Eating a steak. One produces Instagram content. The other produces muscle. Pick your output.

@Beef_Nomad @SamaHoole As far as abs are concerned, I intend to keep the 6 pack for as long as I live :). I’m already slightly suffering in that area after cutting back to one soccer day per week and increasing caloric intake. The goal is to remain athletic as well and not just build muscle.

@maloy123082 @SamaHoole Either full body every second day, or chest + back / legs + arms + shoulders. Isolated ab work is somewhat redundant because your core is already heavily engaged to stabilize and transfer force through compound exercises.

@Beef_Nomad @SamaHoole Yeah it seems I’m doing some redundant work which can be eliminated or reduced. Just some small tweaks and should get me to less exhaustion and better sets. Overall can’t complain too much. Just keep optimizing. Thank you

@Beef_Nomad @SamaHoole How do you split your days? I do legs/arms/abs two days and shoulders/chest/back/abs the other 2 days. I do half compound and half isolation. Optimization for less exhaustion would be great.

@SamaHoole Would love to know how. I do 6 exercises for legs alone twice per week. I love compound but certain things like calves, adductors and abductors like their own focus. Also abs get love each and every session. I’m happy with my results but would love to be less exhausted.
