Finally, there’s no evidence for the £4.7m number. It probably assumes that she owns her houses outright with no mortgage & other assumptions

Wages in sectors such as care are and always have been decided by the job market by wrongly characterising it as low skilled work.
Literally how it’s always been decided. There hasn’t been a “fall” in anything of the sort. Care workers should be paid more, however.
Not sure the meritocracy/equity argument applies here.

And mortgages exist.

I have a job. But also don't have a job. I turn up at the office every day, always on time, ready to work. Except there's no work for me. And yes, I do ask for something to do. I basically get paid over £44k to sit at a desk scrolling through social media & watching Netflix.
