I've built several YouTube Shorts channels to tens of thousands of subscribers each. Not by getting lucky with one viral video. By testing the same things over and over across multiple channels until I understood what actually moves the needle. Here's what I learned that nobody talks about. 🧵

Does anyone on X personally know a YouTube “Human Reviewer?” Family? Friend? Neighbor? Co-worker? If so, I will pay him or her $1,000 to speak to me off-the-record and to answer all my questions. If they are legit, I will pay you $500 for the introduction. Spread the word around X. Let’s do this. @YouTubeCreators @TeamYouTube

So YouTube have told me that my videos are “Mass Produced”. These videos: • Take at least 1-2 weeks (sometimes months) to release • Take artists weeks/months to draw • Take around 9 hours per 1 minutes of footage edited • Have varied voice actors in which take great passion in their work • take weeks to organised I worked so hard on all of these videos and so did everyone else who poured their talents and passions into the content and they sit there and bare face lie to you. What’s even the point in me uploading these things anymore when the platform itself is saying that the effort is meaningless…
TeamYouTube@TeamYouTube

Hi, after a manual review, we found that a significant portion of your channel doesn’t align with our policies, specifically around mass-produced content per our Inauthentic Content policies. More info: goo.gle/4delROV As a result, the channel isn’t currently eligible for monetization. We know this can be disappointing & that these issues aren’t always intentional. We recommend reviewing our policies & making updates before re-applying to YPP in 90 days: goo.gle/4wlrRhm We get how important this is for you, let us know if you have any other q's

The Inauthentic Content policy was introduced in July 2025. YT told creators to stay calm & there'd be "no changes". 9 months later, mass demonetization happened. They could've warned targeted creators that they needed to change in 9 months, but no. They said "calm, no changes".

I’m gonna say it straight I DON'T think @nealmohan should be running @YouTube right now And yeah, before anyone says it, I remember how things improved during Susan Wojcicki’s time Creators actually got: • A real Partner Program that opened doors • Better revenue growth over time • More direct communication from YouTube • A system that felt like humans were still involved Was it perfect? Nah, But it felt like creators mattered And here’s something people FORGOT Back then, if u got rejected from YPP, You waited 30 days and reapplied, Now it’s 90 DAYS!! So NOT ONLY are creators getting flagged MORE, They’re also locked out LONGER Now let’s talk about this “inauthentic content” thing If my content is “inauthentic” Cool, demonetize it BUT THEN WHY ARE ADS STILL RUNNING ON MY VIDEOS?? So it’s inauthentic when I take MY share But suddenly authentic when YOU take YOUR cut?? What kind of logic is that?? 💀 Either: Bad content → remove ads completely Or Good enough → pay the creator You can’t sit in the middle farming money off creators you’re calling “inauthentic” Right now it feels like: Creators take the risk YouTube takes the money And the worst part, no clarity, no proper human responses, just AI decisions hitting channels randomly Creators built this platform Not bots Fix this!

YouTube bans won't slow down until creators do 1 thing. Since March 2024, YouTube has required creators to disclose the use of AI in content. But nobody does it. If you use AI voices, images or video clips, disclose it. It takes 5 seconds and could save your channel.

It's been two weeks since YouTube has demonetized my 2D animation channel, DoggyZuko, on YT. I'm reaching out to @TeamYouTube once more as I think this is still an honest misunderstanding. To those curious, I've attached my video appeal here. Let me know if you think this is still considered mass-produced or fits the criteria for an "Inauthentic Content" violation.

People have been asking me how I managed to submit a successful appeal for the "Inauthentic Content" demonetization. I got only ONE channel back, but the exact same appeal failed on 7 of my other channels. It honestly feels like pure RNG right now. But I'll break down exactly what I did, just in case this helps someone else out there. 1. Show your face in the first 30 seconds and within the first 30 seconds, show your channel page with the URL, as well as your Earn page with the URL. Your script should look something like this: Hi, I'm the creator of the *...* channel - here's the link to the channel and monetization page. My monetization has been disabled due to "inauthentic content". I want to file an appeal because *...* - (this is very important: explain why your content is authentic, how much time and effort you put into it, how many people worked on the video, who exactly this content is intended for, and why people appreciate your videos) 2. Next, I demonstrated the video production process. Since we create Minecraft videos, I included clips from our minecraft content creator, our editor (showing his workflow in Premiere Pro), and our thumbnail maker, so he could demonstrate how he creates thumbnails. Four people appeared in my appeal, and their faces were clearly visible. 3. I also added subtitles to the appeal, right on the screen. Make sure they are clearly visible, especially if you speed up your video, as YouTube's AI may misinterpret the words in your appeal. 4. My appeal lasted 4 minutes and 59 seconds. I also sped it up so that I could demonstrate the video creation process in as much detail as possible. 5. Keep in mind that we're actually creating the videos from scratch. Each video has to be recorded in Minecraft first and then edited in Premiere Pro. 6. Even the most well-prepared appeal has only a 10% chance of being accepted. As you can see, we've had 1 out of 8 appeals accepted. I wish you all the best during these difficult times, and I hope you find my post helpful.

Finally, YouTube decided to re-monetize my channel. I want to give a huge thanks to everyone who tagged team youtube and who reposted my posts. Thanks to my mentor @timdanilovhi Everyone in @yt_igm s community @jackazoo who told me that the EU has specific laws to protect creators, and thats also the laws I sent to YouTube, which I think played a big role. And I really hope @TeamYouTube does the same to all of the other channels which have been demonetized and aren't actually authentic content.

Most people making $100K+/month on YouTube have one thing in common that nobody talks about: They're all using a YouTube CMS. And if you're serious about YouTube, you NEED to understand this Here's everything you need to know about a CMS (bookmark this) 👇🏼🧵

Today, my monetization has been restored. Thanks to all of your comments and support, and with the help of a YouTube team member, I was able to receive a manual review. However, many animation channels are still being affected by incorrect automated decisions. And if these mistakes continue, this could happen again at any time. @TeamYouTube @YouTube Please, I sincerely ask you—review these unfairly affected channels through manual review and restore their monetization. Thank you.

@expertqq Has anyone here won an appeal for inauthentic content? This seems to be the biggest problem because you literally can't know what the decision is based on because 3D channels get it even though the scripts are original as well as the animation

The day didn't even get a chance to start properly. The biggest channel, where they approved the appeal literally 3 weeks ago - got demonetized AGAIN. They also rejected the appeal on the animation channel with Shorts. -$55,000 in just ONE DAY.
