@wono_strategy @weill @kireth @CreatorML_ Be interesting to see a heatmap for thumbnails while surrounded by other thumbnails. Allows you to see what would be the most eye catching at a quick glance, and it would help you further decipher if the thumbnail is lowering CTR or the Idea/Title is lowering CTR.

Tbh I think building an effective heatmap algorithm specifically designed for YouTube would create a ton of biases toward outliers that would be very hard to balance and extract clear rules. I think it's easier to learn how to design an effective thumbnail than to rely on a heatmap tool with unclear rules, but that's my personal opinion. That's why I love the tools you're currently building with CreatorML's research tools, I think these are infinitely more valuable for creators and true signal finders!

@ChrisWillx 27 here. To give some sort of legitimacy to this study, I probably would have been in that 30% had I not read 1984 earlier this year. Not necessarily because I wanted surveillance in the home, but because I didn’t see the harm in it. Should be mandatory reading in UK schools.

MrBeast being criticized for "clickbaiting" not just the thumbnail but in actual videos now by color changing his ship to gold. What do you guys think? Is it overselling? To me it's symbolism of expensive and wealth which is the theme of video, so it's quite fitting.
