@gmoomaw If this was the case, the court should have never have allowed the election to take place. They had plenty of time to do so. Stripping people of their will and votes after the fact is how did you say it blatantly “undemocratic”

Yeah it obviously feels undemocratic for an election to be voided after the fact. But the issue that sunk this was shortcutting the step where voters are supposed to get plenty of notice when the General Assembly is considering big changes. Democracy is involved there too

A piece of me really wants to know which University of Richmond game the Director of the FBI Kash Patel got kicked out of… knowing their students it was probably against VCU as that’s the only game 90% of them ever hear about on that Campus.

@danpfeiffer My question is whether we can really call it a "big win." A win is a win, no doubt, and thank god for it, but it seems way closer than it should have been.

1. Some thoughts on the big Democratic win in VA last night. First, once again, Democratic voters showed that they wanted Democrats to fight fire with fire when it comes to taking on Trump. Yes, we oppose gerrymandering, but we can't ban it from the minority.

@USA_Polling They can’t go to jail if he pardons them as long as their crimes are federal rather than state. This has been in the constitution since the beginning but he’s literally the first president to use them this way. We’ll need a constitutional amendment to fix this

@USA_Polling Yeah Dems hate there party for doing nothing to stop Trump. That doesn’t mean they aren’t turning out enmass to vote against any and every R on the ballot. Cause they are.

@_Griffin_Wright Your surprised? Tyne is not a PG, not a SG, can’t play at the same time as AA cause of height issues. Also been in the program 3 years and not an A 10 starter.

A little surprised tbh but with Argabright coming back - Tyne may not get as much minutes. Wish nothing but the best for this kid!

@ChazNuttycombe Biden wasn’t starting wars at the personal whim, pissing off allies, deploying ice on the streets to beat citizens and engaged in continuous corruption, among many other things. So perhaps, one thing is not like the other.

Took DEMs, even vulnerable ones, forever to distance themselves from Biden; it wasn't until he failed miserably at the presidential debate. A lot of the vulnerable Republicans are gonna go down with the ship this year because they are more likely to lose a primary where Trump endorses against them. I do wonder whether DEMs, including vulnerable ones, learned their lesson from the Biden administration's failures and will be more open to distancing themselves from the next DEM president who's unpopular.
Drew Savicki@DrewSav

In the Obama era Dems could not run faster to distance themselves from a very unpopular President. Mark Udall ran away from Obama in a state he carried twice. time.com/3507165/alison…

Ok, so kids got a half day off school today for a quick and mild rain storm. Glad it was nothing. Now make Wednesday or Friday a full school day instead of no explanation "student holidays". That's what a functioning school district would do.

Very interested in the precedent Miami has set going forward - what if mid majors dont actually have to schedule good teams? What if you just schedule a bunch of trash and win your games? This year has told us you can get the court of public opinion on your side.
JBR@JBRBracketology

Flip side, why I left Miami OH out: -Miami OH had 0 wins vs field -Miami OH had 0 Q1 wins (first time ever) -Miami OH had more Q4 losses than Q1 wins (first time ever) -Miami OH #340 SOS (worst ever for at-large team) -Miami OH #363 NCSOS (worst ever for at-large team) -Miami OH failed to make semifinals in MAC Tournament (MAC #16 per Torvik, #17 per KP) -2 of Miami OH's 3 Q2 wins are within eight spots of being Q3 -Miami OH only played one game vs NET Top 125 all season, and the game was at home
