I’ve yet to fly first class and be impressed with the meal. You choose first class for the flat bed seat not the food. I just eat before the flight or bring on my own food or snacks (Delta one snacks are mediocre in first class).
Also in the US (Delta, United), first class doesn’t exist. It’s just business class hence the focus on comfort via seat versus luxury (service, food).

Hey @united is this a joke? I just flew 5+ hours in First Class and this bowl of sadness is what you serve me for dinner. Between the 3D-printed mystery meat, the cafeteria cheese cubes, and the whole tomato I need a chainsaw to cut, this is genuinely unbelievable.

@seempaq Hmm, not sure; would have to test it. None of our merchants are using the native Shopify Admin transfers screen; some are using Stocky though. Most are third party IMS or through their ERP.
English

@mdriess Ohh but how come it’s not working from native transfers product?
English

@seempaq That said, they released transfers via API in the July API release: shopify.dev/docs/api/admin…

@seempaq For manufacturers Katana is often a go-to. Haven't considered it for food, but might be a good option? Also has QBO integration.
Others - Unleashed, ShipHero, Inventory Planner. I think all with QBO integration

We've delivered something special 🍫
Last week, we finished a 2.5-month PrestaShop → Shopify migration for a high-end chocolate & patisserie brand from Lyon.
Two generations of chocolate passionate. 8 physical shops. Pure French craftsmanship.
The problem? Their old site was a nightmare:
- Needed a dev for every tiny change
- Didn't reflect their premium brand quality
- Couldn't handle properly their complex catalog
The complexity on the project brought the best out of our team brain:
- Physical events booking
- Click & collect with date selection
- Part of the catalog that can only be bought from Lyon
- Mix-and-match boxes where customers build their own selection
- Custom cake messaging
And much more...
Our approach: Complete redesign from scratch
5 people. Full focus. Design, dev, , project management and quality control working in harmony.
The result?
✅ They can now update their store themselves (no more dev dependency!)
✅ Website finally matches their premium brand quality
✅ Ready to scale with paid traffic
✅ Complex catalog that actually works
But here's what made this special:
We created a real bond with this business.
Working with passionate people who have high standards and have been perfecting their art across generations... that hits different.
This is exactly the type of project we want more of.
Proud of the team.

@harleyf When I'm next in Montreal (for a burst in October), which places should I check out to get a sense of this?
English

I’ve been saying it for years: "Montreal is the best food city in North America"
This article nails it:
Food so good it feels like Paris.
Service so warm it feels like therapy.
A 30% currency discount that makes it all taste like Costco samples.
If Montreal ever had a crest, it wouldn’t be a fleur-de-lis.
It would be a drunk guy stumbling out of a restaurant, belly full, yelling “ROSE!”
That’s the city. That’s the culture. That’s Montreal ❤️

@seempaq Since no subscriptions at POS yet how are you selling them?

@kalenjordan @blanklob Some merchants if there are super similar items and it happens a lot have an automatic recovery for the online orders that get cancelled — your red Birkin got cancelled but here is a light red similar one; want to accept it instead? Via email and stock held for 24 hours etc
English

@kalenjordan @blanklob Not really a tech solution possible other than to have the store staff pull the items super quickly once sold. Solved for diamonds, birkins, etc and this is the path
You can automate a call/text/sms to minimize time gap between sale and shelf pull
English

What are the best ways to prevent conflicts between people buying in-store when the inventory is also available online? In this particular case, each product is unique so safety stock levels wouldn't really be an option.
