I worked as a physician in a community based hospital in the heart of Brooklyn, NY, during the entire pandemic. Hospitals were NOT overrun, and at no point were we loading bodies into freezer trucks. You were lied to. Fear is a powerful drug.

It's interesting how DOs cannot call themselves MDs, but someone with a MBBS (foreign medical degree that is typically 3 years shorter than an American degree) can call themselves "MD." We need to change that.

I made it! Entered the pre line approx 10:30, through completely approx 12:00, then an insane run with a 32lb toddler in one arm and pushing a stroller with other, while wearing two backpacks. What an adrenaline rush though!

I don't know if this will help someone out there, but TSA lines (pre and otherwise) are hours long at LGA terminal B, it's an absolute meltdown. Go as early as possible but know it may not be enough. I do not think I'll be making my flight...

An internal medicine colleague of mine once told me that their chief resident refused to have more than 8 patients on their service because any more would be unsafe. Another got written up for asking a med student what their thought process was for coming up with a diagnosis. Another was reprimanded for criticizing an intern in front of the team instead of privately.

@LOFT The avg US woman is 5’3”; petite clothes are considered under 5’4”. The avg pant size for US women is btwn 16 & 18. extremely disappointing LOFT won’t carry any sizes larger than 12P in store! so normal petite sizes like 14/16 have to be online orders? So so frustrating

An armed man trying to impede a lawful arrest is a recipe for disaster. I expect law enforcement officers to use good judgement. But not to foolishly risk their lives or the lives of others. As to the recent tragic shooting in Minnesota where Border Patrol agents used deadly force against an armed protestor trying to impede a lawful arrest, it is a direct result of the heated rhetoric and over the top reaction toward ICE —who are simply trying to enforce the law in sanctuary cities. You have every right to protest and you have every right to disagree with President Trump. No one has the right to impede law enforcement officers carrying out their duties. If you go to such events with a loaded gun, bad things can happen. The facts will be fully investigated, but for me having been a defense attorney and prosecutor who’s been around law enforcement officers, you have to understand the extreme pressure that Border Patrol and ICE agents are under in sanctuary cities. These cities have willfully ignored federal law, creating massive fraud of benefits, a constant magnet for illegal immigration and a breakdown of law and order. I will be introducing legislation to end sanctuary state and city polices once and for all because they rip off the taxpayer and cause extreme danger for those trying to clean up the mess in these liberal cities.

As someone who has experienced real, significant trauma in my life, I have to say: I’m puzzled by how people are talking on social media about the killing in Minnesota. You are okay. Everyone you know are okay. If you can’t handle consuming the news, you need a break.

I have eliminated more UTIs from this planet with vaginal estradiol than with antibiotics.
