Russia is bogged down in its attack on Ukraine - neither truly “winning” nor “losing” in strategic terms. Its recent egregious violation of Polish air space by drones is clearly a dangerous attempt by Putin to probe NATO resolve and create leverage and intimidation. Now would be a good time to increase economic sanctions on Russia. 🇺🇸

I am leading debate on the House Floor right now! Tune in live on C-SPAN: c-span.org/congress/?cham…

@Intermiamicfhub This is pure romanticized narrative-building. Messi wasn’t ‘fixed on the trophy’ or giving some burning stare — he was moving around, looking different ways, even turning his back to the stage. Just a normal post-game moment, nothing like the story you’re idolizing and selling.

@meloch Go read the tweet and again and point out what’s a lie in that genius?

Get Tata to manage the 2nd half and I guarantee Miami win.

Wow, it’s happening! On Thursday, I’ll have my first prime sponsored bill voted on the Congressional House Floor! (DETERRENT Act - to reduce bad foreign influence on college campuses). This will be one of the FIRST bills to make it through the committee process and voted off the House Floor in the 119th Congress. (Not too bad for a Freshman! ;) 🇺🇸

Gail Halverson relies on Medicare and Medicaid to live. Right now, she is afraid she could lose that coverage.
“People are going to be sick, and they’re going to have to go to nursing homes – well, who’s going to pay for the nursing homes? That’s Medicare; that’s Medicaid. So, are we just left to die?” // story by @SullenderAmanda & James Hanlon

@RepBaumgartner “Very dangerous” - sir, how could you possibly then enjoy outdoor activities, including hiking and camping on the Kettle Crest Trail and Curlew Lake, biking the John Wayne Trail, and visiting Steptoe Butte in a very dangerous Washington? #ShameMB

The Ukrainian refugees in Spokane are legitimate war refugees who are following the law, and are committed to faith, family and hard work that contributes to our society. I will be advocating for their continued presence in the US. I hope their situation is not complicated by the unfortunate, unconstitutional and very dangerous “sanctuary state” law of Washington which prohibits local law enforcement from working with federal law enforcement to remove illegal immigrant hard criminals from our jails and communities and increases the risk of terrorist attack by limiting the flow of information between law enforcement agencies. 🇺🇸

@RepBaumgartner Look at the dates of those publications. One was before you had even had a chance to be bad at your job. If anything, your posts just prove how poorly you have done in February and March. Do better.

@RepBaumgartner The price of eggs is too high. Great coach wouldn’t like that 😉 #ShameMB

Tonight I met Donald Trump for the first time. We shook hands and talked briefly about our mutual friend Mike Leach.
“A great, great coach.”
Indeed. One of the most happy times I remember Mike is him telling the story of how Trump called him and talked to the Coug coaching staff after we beat SC in 2017. Those guys were two peas in a pod . 🇺🇸

English

@RepBaumgartner Did you think about mentioning your constituents rather than sliding into Trump’s dm (aka networking)? Bad start! #ShameMB

I enjoyed meeting President Trump for the first time after his address to Congress. I took the brief opportunity to mention our mutual friend Mike Leach and we had warm exchange about the “great, great coach.” Mike used to talk with me frequently about his friendship with President Trump, including once secretly visiting Mara Lago during a bye week and discussing his own interest in potentially running for political office when he hung up the whistle. “You would have my complete and total support.” (Mike’s incredible personal skills, story telling ability and no BS common sense would have made him a very innovative and effective elected official.)
I’m sure at some point in the future I will have an opportunity to discuss substantive policy with the President, but I’m also looking forward to some hopeful lighter moments to share Leach stories. Mike was the best and I have zero doubt that he is watching down with a big smile on his face as he’s telling a few stories about some guys he know right now. (Thank you to the many of my friends who sent me screen shots and clips). 🇺🇸

.@RepBaumgartner called on Ukrainian President @ZelenskyyUa to resign Friday, hours after a diplomatic meltdown in the White House as President Trump and Vice President Vance claimed Zelenskyy was ungrateful to the administration // story by @emry_dinman

@RepBaumgartner Hey #Spokane and Eastern Washington, let’s start working on booting this guy out. We have the time. He doesn’t. #ShameMB
English

Zelensky should resign.
Putin is a thug and it is in US national interest that he not be successful in his attack on Ukraine, but Zelensky seems to have now twice reneged on signing an agreed mineral rights deal at the last minute. Whatever your view on what happened in today’s bizarre televised WH diplomatic meeting, the West needs US and Ukrainian leadership trust on confronting Russia. After today, that likely requires a new Ukrainian leader. For the good of his country, he should step down and allow an interim leader before new elections can be held. What a mess. 🇺🇸

@andybillig @ZackZappone And yet, the City Council voted to undue helmet requirement 😂

Big turnout for our Bike Town Hall! Thank you to everyone who attended & to @ZackZappone for co-hosting with me. We had a pleasant ride & productive dialogue about bike infrastructure as we work toward the goal of making biking safe, accessible & enjoyable throughout our city.
