First maskless day at school and the staff at the front of the building, including the principal, were all masked. My daughter’s excitement switched to visible anxiety as she tried to cover her face with her lunchbox. There’s so much work to be done to heal our kids. 1/

Update: My NY highschoolers are having the best day. They said most kids and teachers aren’t wearing masks. One told me even the ‘mask crazy’ teachers took them off. My other daughter said, “I never knew masks made such a difference. I have been smiling all day!”
