@Top100Rick Once it’s your turn to play 1 minute maybe 1.30 on greens If you need a ruling you get time say 3 calls per round to stop unnecessary rulings just to delay Penalty strokes not minimal fines. If your gonna miss the cut because of penalties applied you’ll soon speed up

Fitzpatrick snitched on his playing partner for slow play and is rightly being applauded. Let’s take this a step further. Taking 3 minutes to take a normal approach shot isn’t just slow. It’s cheating. It should be an immediate penalty. You are NOT supposed to be able to account for all variables. You are NOT supposed to be able to make infinite calculations or wait for the perfect amount of wind. You are NOT supposed to be able to wait until you are 100% comfortable in the shot. What Fitz did is awesome, but it should be normal. They don’t need to race, but at some point they need to be able to hit a golf shot in a reasonable amount of time. That should be a base requirement for being a golfer at any level, much less a pro.
GOLF.com@GOLF_com

“He is a little perturbed with his playing partner’s pace of play. It is glacial, to be kind.” John Wood on Matt Fitzpatrick, who is currently tied for the lead and playing with Adrien Dumont de Chassart. After Brad Faxon followed up, Wood said Fitzpatrick hit his approach on the 11th first, even though he was closer, and walked up to the green, where he waited about 3 min before Dumont de Chassart hit his approach. Rules official Orlando Pope said that Fitzpatrick talked to an official, and they have decided to give Dumont de Chassart an official warning after timing him unofficially since Fitzpatrick’s request.

Here is the true figure behind the propaganda from the aggressive and divisive Irish language lobby. A mere 18% of QUB students support the unwanted imposition of Irish language signage.

I present to you the incredible foul-to-yellow-card ratio of Daizen Maeda. We all see it every week, but here it is in black and white. Just another stat that absolutely reeks of corruption in Scottish Football.

In an Ireland that is becoming over run by tik-tok and instagram influencers, and the continuing Americanisation of Irish culture, I miss more than ever the club finals on the biggest day in Croke Park on March 17th - it feels like we've moved Christmas day to February ☘️😫

It’s surprising, b/c alcohol at a golf tournament isnt as readily accessible as it is in the other of the major sports. Concessions are much fewer,,there arent mobil vendors, parking is a shuttle away from the venue and security at entry is strict. Maybe people are simply assholes.

I want your opinion on something... Recently, I feel like golf crowds have become more belligerent. - Passing out in the stands - Fights in the parking lot - Screaming during a backswing Just to name a few. I'd never call myself a traditionalist...but at what point do we draw the line? We wanna hear your thoughts. Here's Sean's quick take: buff.ly/KmrrhTz

@DarrenDevine92 @BankOnthe It’s similar to the soccer back four Play down one side the full back pushes across to meet the winger the other full back steps to inside his own 18 yard box

@BankOnthe Yeah, I’ve seen others highlight keepers getting involved in defending the resulting spare man in similar scenarios. Fast kick passes seems the likely solution but also not getting bottled up in the corner while playing through the hands is still probably going to the preference

See how Dublin are adapting to high Full Forward lines who are trying to leave the D free for a better scoring opportunity. David Byrne leaving his man in one corner to defend in the opposite corner allowed them to double up on the Armagh attackers

@DarrenDevine92 to counter this teams have to identify the man’s been left spare & move the ball quick & kick to space when the defender steps in an Armagh man gets the ball & has a fairly simple 30 yard kick to the 14 over 1 defender to the spare man. When he takes the solo the chance is gone

@CelticGossip I've got a feeling we will be at least level with Hearts going into split. They have Dundee (H), Livvy (A) and then Motherwell (H).

@ComedianConn A draw does everybody To make it realistic with the way we’ve defended this league let’s call it 1-29 to 4-20 ( with 9 2 pointers for cork) draw

Myself and a buddy are heading to Tyrone next weekend. We’ve taken Monday off and all. No matter what happens we are gonna make the most of it. What a league campaign it’s been. Bar the Munster final against Tipperary (that we all want to forget about) is this our biggest game in the last decade? I think it might be. Getting back to division one will elevate this group of players to new heights. Sunday is the biggest test with the most pressure they’ve faced in a long long time. That’s what you want. Good pressure.
