ATTN: Petition for Canadian Jurist, Richard Wagner to recuse himself in the Emergencies Act Case. I will also need a Member of Parliament to sponsor a #Canada e-petition. Having spent decades in law enforcement, I understand how critical public trust is to the justice system. Justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done. When a senior judicial figure such as Richard Wagner makes public comments on matters that may later come before the court, it raises legitimate concerns about impartiality. This is not about attacking an individual. It is about protecting the integrity of the system. In public remarks regarding the convoy protests connected to the Emergencies Act debate, the Chief Justice described the situation as a “small beginning of anarchy” and said residents were effectively “taken hostage.” These are strong characterizations. When such views are expressed in advance of legal proceedings, they risk creating a perception that a position has already been formed. The foundation of our justice system is impartial decision-making, free from preconceived opinions. Where there is a reasonable concern that impartiality could be questioned, recusal is not a weakness, it is a safeguard. This petition respectfully calls for Chief Justice Wagner to recuse himself from any cases directly connected to matters on which he has made prior public comments. Taking this step would reinforce, not diminish, public confidence in Canada’s highest court and demonstrate a clear commitment to fairness, neutrality, and the rule of law. @PaulSeczek @lukin2006 @BenMulroney Trudeau added $82,000,000,000 to the debt while the economy was good before Covid. Carney's first budget projected $78.3 BN deficit and the spring update revised that to $66 BN due to higher oil revenues and the government failing to implement items from the fall budget.

@lukin2006 @BenMulroney Trudeau had to deal with the most challenging economic times of the last century during Covid. Harper managed to increase the debt by $150,000,000,000.

Called it on my show: this government was going to try selling us that because their deficit came in below projections, somehow it can be MacGyver’d into “we have lowered the deficit”. I have a lot of respect for Ms. Church, but this makes me think she doesn’t have much for us.

@MarkJCarney can say the economy is doing well but just came back from grocery shopping (we were told to judge you on those prices) & hot dogs are on sale for $7.49. A pack that's 18% smaller than & only a couple years ago would have been on sale for 1.99. There is an issue.

On May 2nd 2011, Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party of Canada won the 2011 Canadian Federal Election, winning a Majority Government. The Liberal Party was decimated to 34 Seats, and the NDP became the Official Opposition.

@DeanAllisonMP It absolutely is. It's so bad that I saw hundreds of these shirts with the "Elbow's up" slogan at a "bins" discounter. These businesses liquidate product at a deep discount that failed to sell through normal channels. No one wants that trash.

@GG37374104 One thing I notice different when @MarkJCarney meets with skilled workers compared to when @PierrePoilievre meets with them, workers with Carney always have brand new hard hats while with Poilievre they are definitely work worn.

@ezralevant Doug Ford schlepping for the Liberals is what is causing his numbers to fall.

Doug Ford has been in free fall since the last election. The private jet fiasco just added an exclamation point. Either the party renews itself from within, or voters are going to destroy it in the next election. I think he's too selfish to step down.

The Ontario PC party only needs three months for caucus to remove the leader, have an interim in place and then a newly installed, party selected leader, if necessary. If memory serves me, of course.

Conservative MP Kelly DeRidder was not only approached by the Liberals to cross the floor, they used pressure to try & convince her by telling her that a candidate would be running in Kitchener Center with support from both the Liberals & the Greens & that she wouldn’t stand a chance as a Conservative. When the Liberal Government tells you they stand for Democracy, they are lying.

Michael. As you are well aware since I know you are a parliamentary geek and I’ve known you since you were 12, when you have a majority government, you get control of committees. This isn’t un democratic. This is the Westminster system.

@jasrajshallan If @MarkJCarney is changing the way books are kept re expenditures vs debts could we request the PBO or whoever reports on that revise the spending for the past 20 years using the same process? Apples to apples?

@fredbourget @nspector4 We vote for a person who has expressed the views and platforms of a party. I vote for X because they said they want Y. If they later say nope, I am against Y then there is an issue.

@nspector4 What does the law say? Do we vote for a person or for a political party? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm genuinely wondering if they actually have a chance or if this is just another attempt of griffting...
