@dilanesper We have 42.5% new college graduate unemployment, AI layoffs, and the worst job market since 2008. You don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.

For over 70 years, adjusting your status to a Green Card from within the US has been the standard pathway to achieve permanent legal status.  Now Trump wants to change that solely to inflict damage on our immigrants and mixed families by forcing people to wait often years in their home country. This is a stupid as it is cruel. And it solely targets legal immigrants.  We won’t let this happen.
USCIS@USCIS

USCIS is applying long-standing law and prior court decisions to require certain aliens with temporary visas who decide they want to permanently reside in the U.S. to return to their home countries to apply for permanent visas through the @StateDept. We're returning to the original intent of the law to ensure aliens navigate our nation’s immigration system properly. Here’s what you should know: uscis.gov/newsroom/news-…

We have 42.5% new college graduate unemployment rate, AI layoffs, and the worst job market since 2008. But hey, the immigrants here want more of their people here, so f* Americans. Thats what all of you sound like. The entitlement coming from foreigners in America is insane. Y’all are GUESTS. Sit down, shut up, and act like the guests that you are.

America wins when it attracts and keeps extraordinary talent. Highly skilled immigrants have helped drive innovation in AI, medicine, engineering, science, entrepreneurship, and national competitiveness for generations. Many came legally, followed every rule, and dedicated years of their lives to contributing here. If the goal is to strengthen America, then policies should support talented legal immigrants, not trap them in limbo under the #USCISpause. More green cards for highly vetted, highly skilled contributors is good for the economy, innovation, and the future of the United States. @realDonaldTrump @SecRubio @SecMullinDHS @USCISJoe @SenGaryPeters @RandPaul #LiftTheHold
Bardia@TSMERDIST

@realDonaldTrump You said college graduates should receive green cards and be able to stay and build their future here. Today, many of those same legal students and professionals are stuck in limbo, unable to work, and facing uncertainty after doing everything right. Respectfully, this is not aligned with that vision. Please help restore a system that keeps talent and lift the USCIS pause. @SecMullinDHS @marcorubio @SenGaryPeters @RandPaul @USCISJoe #USCISpause #LiftTheHold

@predict_addict We have 42.5% new college graduate unemployment, AI layoffs, and the worst job market since the 2008 financial crisis. Bringing in any immigrants right now is treasonous.

If you've played by the rules and lawfully waited for years just for a chance at the American dream, Trump now wants you to leave the country, risk your job, and uproot your family to get a green card. By closing more and more legal pathways to citizenship, Trump keeps betraying America's promise.
Homeland Security@DHSgov

An alien who is in the U.S. temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply. This policy allows our immigration system to function as the law intended instead of incentivizing loopholes. The era of abusing our nation’s immigration system is over.

@BinaryBit01 “Shit up and watch all the immigrants come in” You’re all in for legal immigration while we have a 42.5% new college graduate unemployment rate? How does giving away our best American positions to foreigners help Americans? Dumbass.

@mikerestacked Never ever advocated for endless immigration. You guys love to make stuff up and then attack that made up stuff to feel like you won some argument. I am all in for legal immigration that helps the US, I am not retarded like you.

One of the common patterns you'll see from guys who are on visas and are happy to go back and apply is that they are in a visa category from a country which has negligible wait time compared to others. And they'll come here and say, "Because I am okay with this, you should too." This is like me saying, "Why are people afraid of layoffs? I got laid off and found a job in two weeks".
Dmitriy Kovalenko@neogoose_btw

I’m directly affected by this new green card application policy. But I don’t get why everyone is so much panicking. I’m on O1 visa with an ongoing EB1 case, but if you think that I will give up my job to apply for green card you are wrong lol I guess I’ll just do a pleasant trip to Europe to visit my mom, will apply there and return back cause my O1 visa is still valid

I see these neighborhoods being built in Texas and I’m trying to figure out who in their right mind would buy a mansion with zero lot lines. Like, you could do a handshake through your kitchen window. Insane! Please make it make sense.

I genuinely don't understand people like Bezos and Musk. If I had billions of dollars, I would just start fixing everything. Homeless veterans sleeping on the streets? Not on my watch. Hungry children going to bed with empty stomachs? Hell no. They could be making life better but instead choose to build spaceships and data centers to pump stocks and destroy the planet

In this clip, Joe Rogan literally gets the chills when Andreessen explains the 10x-50x software development productivity boost AI gives. Rogan is freaked out because he realizes that this effect isn’t going to stop at software. All human jobs are going to get affected. The second order effect that Andreessen here alludes to is what’s really interesting. That huge productivity boost means the cost of all jobs quickly goes towards 0 and that causes demand to shoot up. Classic economics: if there’s elasticity in the product/service demand, make something 10x cheaper and you’ll have some huge increase in demand, could even be 100x. In this clip, Andreessen points out that software companies aren’t laying off people, they just now do 10x the output since the demand is so high for products/services that cheaper computer programming enables. I personally have seen it myself. I’ve vibe coded three apps, all three in production, that I would never have done before because the time cost was too high. Now the small business that wanted to be able to bid on all jobs can actually do that with the right automation, which is now affordable. Just as the personal computer pushed computing power from the realm of big business to mom and pop companies, AI is now completing that step and pushing custom software from mid sized companies with IT budgets down to those same mom and pop companies. The age of abundance is coming.

Andressen if full of himself. I lead teams of highly capable engineers and in practice we are seeing about a 30% increase in efficiency. We need to stop listening to investors and CEOs who've invested millions in these products. They don't know what they're talking about and just want to pump their bags.
