Thanks @oohinsider for having me on the pod! We talked about - how to get started with OOH - how to plan, negotiate, and buy for maximum impact - how to measure impact (both top and bottom of funnel) and ultimately, how to turn OOH into a performance marketing channel.

I find it amusing to read VCs claim in public that paid marketing is lame and better product leads to success, when most their portfolio is the exact opposite (lame products propelled by VC-backed UA funding) and their knowledge of paid unit econ is surface level, at best

Today I am 30. Saying goodbye to my 20’s. I was a professional dancer when I turned 20 and now I make ads for top consumer brands. It has been a massive 10 years. Losing a career, becoming sober, rebuilding my next phase in life, getting married, starting a business, starting a family. SO MUCH. And I am just grateful for everything. 30 doesn’t feel scary because I am just going to be living out my life that has been built. Cheers to the next decade.

Nope nothing fancy like that (but you totally could). I just use an old PC because it's separate from my main pc so I can have it build stuff while I work on my main one. I have a surface pro now so most of the claude code stuff I'm building would probably overwhelm it... You can use your own pc now if you want, but consider that a separate pc with less stuff on it has less risk in case you build something that gets you hacked lol

My AI stack right now is so simple but so powerful: - n8n - claude code opus - vscode - an old cpu I don't use n8n is just a boilerplate skill I made for any repeat stuff (instead of having to use openclaw style setup) claude code sits inside of vs code run all my projects on the old pc that's all

Bike share ridership has soared annually over the past five years. In 2020, 2.9 million rides were logged. By 2024, that figure sat at 6.9 million. 7.8 million rides occurred last year – 231,000 of them involving first-time riders, a 39% increase from 2024. Cycling is growing - and our city is better for it. #OneLessCar globalnews.ca/news/11725454/…

Energy reality check: 🇨🇦 Canada → ~6 million barrels/day 🇳🇴 Norway → ~4 million barrels/day 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia → ~10–11 million barrels/day Norway used its oil to build a $1.5+ trillion oil fund, which is one of the largest wealth funds on Earth. Canada has far more resources than Norway yet we keep acting like developing our own energy sector is a problem. Imagine how prosperous Canada could be if we treated our oil the way Norway did. Norway treats oil like a national asset. Canada treats it like a political problem.

FWIW I am ALL for Quebec enforcing protected status on poutine globally so I never accidentally have to eat a poutine with fucking shredded cheese or watery gravy. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Quebec poutine > all, and the closer in proximity it is to a gas pump the better it is.

“Out of Nowhere” Ontario’s economy has been the worst performing in Canada/US since 2000. Young Canadians haven’t received a raise in a generation. We covered it up with a housing bubble. Ask anyone under 45. This wasn’t sudden.

I have been arguing with NIMBYs for over ten years and every single time I explain to them that new expensive housing reduces rents because it *absorbs* affluent people they just…act like I never said that, and keep yelling that the new housing isn’t affordable

What @gregorrobertson means by this is fairly simple. All the new housing that gets built will be smaller and lower quality than existing housing. It is a frank admission that our housing policy goal is ultimately to lower material well being for people and families long term.
