I saw today's twitter drama and it looks like Xenos got banned. Personally I don't agree with all their views but I was more concerned with how something outside of XIV's range of scope which is their game and forums could cause someone to get banned in game.
I did some scrolling and I think the best view I could go with is what Tina said here. He is/was a media tour streamer and he represented the company in some aspect. So he is good and bad for the business dramatically. Ultimately, XIV could throw 100 reasons to ban his account in game, but using X or Twitch as a reason kinda rubs me the wrong way.
It's like talking shit about tesla and Elon in Limsa Lominsa, and someone reports it to get your X account banned. The amount of fake policing people do is gonna skyrocket from this and i'm personally not a fan.
I vent and discuss many topics on stream and if I have to worry about what I say live on stream to make sure my in game FFXIV account doesn't get banned that's horrid.
In the end, XIV reserves the right to literally just shut off any account they want because its a paid service and you can refuse service to anyone, but policing outside other social media not a huge fan of. This is really concerning for what's to come for creators and players because there was a 2nd incident from a JPN player who was forced to delete their Twitter post also recently.

In general I dont think people should be banned for stuff out of game. However I do understand if you are a major streamer who has been invited to multiple media tours you kind of arent a normal player and when you break ToS on stream, a ban could be justified.

I also think the argument of “but the algorithm” is disingenuous, as a content creator myself. The primary goal should not be about maximizing profit, it should be keeping people safe and building credibility. Maybe you take care of step 1, but not step 2 if you’re overhyping.

If YouTube weather was around on 4/27/11 this is exactly what I would expect to see for a generational event.
The problem is this messaging is used EVERY SINGLE TIME. If every event is exceptional or “not good” or “no way” then nothing is. And one day people will tune it out.

I hate the way YouTube is but as someone who used to make these for Max, there is really a whole art into doing these. There is a tradeoff, the thumbnails are very clickbaity but the people are getting important information that they likely would have not known. There is a big difference in style, one will do good and one will do very poorly. It’s very much a trial and error.

As tarkov players, a lot of us miss the old ammo in secure container feature. Just hear me out👀
My idea? Make ammo packs ALLOWED IN SECURE CONTAINER, but once unpacked they default to bag / vest. Downside? It takes a 15 sec animation unpack🤔
Now, if you want decent ammo that is USABLE in a fight, you have to risk that animation. Dont want to risk it? No good ammo. I know some people might have a problem with 15 seconds, but it could even be skill based where overtime you can level it up to be faster.
This is one of the biggest changes BSG has made that people mention they won't come back until its fixed. I made some example images down below. I would love to hear some of your guys thoughts 😎

@YmyroWithEgo Emongg said on stream (directly from the devs I believe) that it is intended to be changed but not ready for this patch. Was never supposed to be included in these notes. The change happened live on Emongg's stream I'm sure someone had a clip

I think YouTubers should never tell someone explicitly to "drive away" from a tornado because we cannot assume that everyone is A) watching live and not delayed, and B) cognizant of what *we* know about the storm.

@CaprisunWx No, it is not. We are looking at a 25 minute ADVANCED warning for Monticello, specifically for those in a mobile home, RV, or camping that don't have a place to shelter. With a violent tornado, no, it's not.

My team and I spend until about 1pm arguing over which target to chase and we slowly fought each other until we all released at the same time we were arguing over nothing because all the targets sucked. So we just sat in STL, stopped caring, and got jimmy johns.

Yesterday's tornado outbreak led to 150 tornado warnings, at least 40 reported tornadoes, and so far, two EF-3 tornadoes confirmed in WIsconsin.
