@griefcliff @girdley It would be harder to load last minute, gate checked bags. The limiting factor of turn around time is passenger loading, mostly due to the stupid boarding group systems. We should load aft window and middles first, first class should go last.
English

@girdley No, the one thing I never understood about plane cargo loading is why they have the little bag ramp, and they don't just put the bags in like a cargo container for planes.
I'm sure someone knows why

@OutofSpecDetail I literally do not need a squircle on my Cybertruck I’d rather have the yoke, but the yoke on a traditional steering rack was fucking stupid.

"These things are expensive. The Waymo cost of that whole vehicle... is about $300K. That's not going to replace a driver financially anytime soon," says @emilmichael about robotaxis.

@realMeetKevin @CathieDWood She answered the way she wanted to answer. She could’ve played it down the middle. Have some balls.
English

I have deleted a clip of @CathieDWood discussing who might be better for the economy as President. #Trump or #Biden Here’s why.
First, I’d like to say that Cathie has one the purest, greatest hearts ever. She is a deeply genuine, kind, and honest person. That doesn’t mean innovation always goes up! 🚀 But she is a woman of great integrity and is transparent with her long-run vision. She is a true American, she is righteous, she is virtuous. I respect her greatly. We can all learn a lot from her.
She is also a woman of principles, context, and nuance. I am not speaking on behalf of Cathie. My team had an impression from what we heard, but she asked me to mention that her beliefs are more nuanced. As such, I deleted our video clip.
I believe this means there’s more to a vote than economics.
So while I can’t speak for her, I believe I have messed up. I believe I ambushed Cathie with my Joe vs. Donald question and I may have unintentionally created an impression she didn’t intend to create. I regret this and I am sorry.
This has been the first educational finance event I’ve conducted since February 2020, also in Vegas! And I worry I’ve offended Cathie.
Cathie: I hope you will forgive us. We love and appreciate you. We look up to you. We learn from you. We are saddened we have disappointed you.
Stay tuned for our full interview and complete context.

@JeffTutorials I tried to buy a car from inventory at the Glendale Galleria, the lady just moved onto another customer by telling me to just look on my computer instead.

@turtlerancher66 @DrChrisCombs Yes. Can't tell which, but it's absolutely characteristic of either nitric acid, dinitrogen tetroxide (N2O4) or just MON (Mixed Oxides of Nitrogen) as the oxidiser.
All of which are really bad news to be around.

@bilboofshire @Tesla @LucidMotors It really depends on what you value. The minimalism of the Tesla design language and cutting edge tech like steer by wire really means a lot to me.
I would really love to see a Model S revamp that puts it on par with cybertruck. The palladium refresh was a good first step.
English

I have owned 3 @Tesla s, still own MS and M3. I also worked on MS in 2010-2012. Have driven the Lucid Air Pure and Touring, probably a 100 times. Although I think Model S is a great car, I genuinely believe the @LucidMotors Air is the best sedan on the planet & by a long margin

@chuckcook @Tesla @elonmusk This is interesting to me because why do they have to physically be there?
Can they not simulate this kind of term and train off that?
English

Three different @Tesla ADAS Operators driving the turn over and over this morning. Average time between runs is 10 minutes, so they are doing a loop of some sort that includes the turn. @elonmusk to answer your question to me at the shareholders meeting, the neighbors think its really cool Tesla is here testing, but at first they were very suspicious as to what was going on!

English

@Scobleizer @heydave7 Tesla will be a first mover in the vast majority of markets.
English

Tesla is not a first mover. Waymo is. Waymo is already operating Robotaxi in several cities. Tesla is not.
That said, Tesla will be like Apple: coming in later with a superior offering.
But other than that you are right. Tesla is way ahead for global robotaxi. The others don't have the data. Don't have the fleet.
English

Some investors/analysts argue against including Robotaxi in Tesla's valuation model because they believe that once Tesla achieves unsupervised Full Self-Driving (FSD), other companies will quickly follow suit within two to three years. However, I argue the following:
• Tesla likely has a 4-5 year lead in generalized autonomous driving.
• Tesla has millions of vehicles that could be potentially deployed into a Robotaxi network once unsupervised FSD is ready.
• With a large supply of cars offering quick rides at cheaper prices than Uber and Lyft (no human driver), Tesla's robotaxi network will be extremely difficult to compete against.
• Newcomers entering the market years later will struggle to match Tesla's supply density, competitive pricing, and demand, even in a single city.
In other words, Tesla’s first mover advantage in the Robotaxi market will likely be very significant and the resulting network effects will make it extremely difficult to compete with for future newcomers to the Robotaxi market.
