Radical centrist. Institutions matter more than policy positions. Do a chesed for someone today.

I’m all in on permanent DST. Darkness at 4pm encourages inward facing behavior, depression, and social isolation. Longer evening daylight encourages people to be out and socialize after work, something society desperately needs right now with the decline of social interaction.

We’re getting some questions about flying with taxidermy raccoons holding empty liquor bottles... It’s ok with us but pls check with your airline first.

💥In the first poll of this momentous week, Netanyahu's coalition gets 52 Knesset seats to the Opposition's 68. And, following the trend, Gadi Eizenkot' party & Eisenkot personally beat Netanyahu & his @Likud_Party. @kann_news

Israeli settlers, brandishing American made M4s, detained me & other Americans on my trip to Palestine. When the IDF arrived, they sided with the settlers & continued our detention. They made a huge mistake. You will be hearing more soon. nytimes.com/2026/07/11/us/…

Between Emanuel’s speech yesterday and Burnham’s intervention today it is clear Western progressives are moving towards a position of sanctions on Israeli settlements and settler organisations. That’s a clear policy for where you want to be in 1-2 years of putting costs on the occupation. There’s also a clear policy of where you want to be eventually with a two or a “twenty-three” state solution. What’s lacking is any thinking on credible, viable, interim steps a post-Netanyahu Israeli government or a post-Abbas Palestinian Authority could conceivably carry in a 3-5 year horizon that could radically improve people’s lives. There is a real intellectual vacuum here, it’s quite striking with Democrats really, which Europeans should be thinking ahead about and to try and fill with serious proposals developed with Egypt and the Gulf. This is where we need peace thinking.
