@Wftproof Yep, been there done that. Met alle consolidaties van hostingpartijen de afgelopen jaar merkte ik ook plots enorme verhogingen in kosten. Goed om scherp op te zijn!

Ben even in de kosten van de hosting gedoken van mijn zakelijke websites, want vond dat de bedragen toch wel erg hoog worden. Een van mijn sites draait op een oude versie van Wordpress die niet meer werd aangeboden door mijn eigen provider in 2019. Ik ben toen bij mijn eigen provider gebleven voor mailpakket etc. en heb alleen de hosting van mijn site overgezet naar @neostrada. Die konden deze site hosten met een eenvoudig pakket en ik betaalde daar in 2019 jaarlijks EUR 54,29 voor. Wat blijkt? Inmiddels is dat bedrag opgeschroefd tot maar liefst EUR 320,49 (in 2025) per jaar! Ik heb deze kosten niet goed gemonitord, omdat deze automatisch worden afgeschreven van diverse zakelijke rekening en mijn administratie wordt uitgevoerd door de accountant. Ik vind dit echt een bizarre verhoging voor alleen het hosten van een eenvoudige website. Ik heb dan ook besloten om weg te gaan bij deze club. Moraal van het verhaal… Houd je hosting-kosten in de gaten. Hosting partijen vervangen pakketten zonder deugdelijk overleg of onderzoek naar jouw achtergrond en wensen. Ik heb meerdere bedrijven/websites en de kosten rijzen echt de pan uit als je niet oplet.

Back in the late 90s, my wife and I were living in the Netherlands when some Dutch friends invited us to the NL release of Saving Private Ryan. Why is it Trump's fault that Europe then and now sits on their hands and waits for someone else to do the heavy lifting required to ensure a deterrence that prevents a big bloody fuuking mess of a war. As a professional soldier, NATO and the EU do not deserve one more drop of my children's or grand babies blood to support their social comforts. If you're an American please understand that the crowd gave a standing ovation to the sacrifice they never had the courage to make and 50 years from now if the EU isn't a third world shit hole they'll give Trump a standing ovation too.
