RIP Mzee Kabuga. Félicien Kabuga was a wealthy Rwandan businessman, during the war we managed to access proper food sugar and milk etc all from his factories. He has passed away before we apologised to him or thanked him for using his properties without permission. The current government continues to fabricate cases on him to ensure that they hold on his properties, land houses etc. He was accused of being the most prominent figure of masterminding and financing the 1994 Rwandan genocide.

At State House Entebbe, I met Mr. Nick Checker, the Senior Bureau Official in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of African Affairs, who is representing President Donald Trump at tomorrow’s swearing-in ceremony, together with his delegation. I emphasized the need for value addition and industrialisation across Africa. We cannot continue exporting raw materials such as coffee, oil and minerals without processing them. Value addition is crucial for expanding Africa’s GDP, creating jobs and increasing the purchasing power of our people. I welcome him to Uganda and wish him a fruitful stay.
