🚨🚨To my friends, family and all those who genuinely care for me; I wanted to personally share an important life update with you 🚨🚨 📢 My resignation has now been accepted 😇 and with that, I am finally breaking the shackles around me to step into an open world and test myself on my own terms 🙇‍♂️ This was entirely my own decision not emotional, not impulsive, but deeply thought through after years of reflection as you can see from attached tweets since 2022 😇 👉 Leaving after 14+ years of service, at the peak of my career and at a hallmark stage of my professional journey, is not a small step especially when you've done extraordinarily and reckoned as well 👉 I know exactly what I am walking away from: years of hard work, discipline, sacrifice, responsibility, earned respect and the compounding effect of nearly a decade and a half of effort built brick by brick over time 😢 Walking away from all of that and willingly choosing to start again from zero on a completely new path demands immense courage, energy, conviction and sheer willpower. But some decisions in life are not meant to be easy; they are meant to test your character. And I believe true growth begins exactly where comfort ends 🤲 👉 Over the last few years, through relentless self-learning, reflection and life experience, I have come to realize one thing very clearly: a man is ultimately defined by quality and courage of his decisions 💯 👉 For a long time, I felt that while my institution gave me a lot, it was also quietly limiting parts of me, my broader vision, my untapped potential and freedom required to truly discover what I am capable of. I could not allow myself to spend rest of my life wondering: what if? 🤔 So I chose differently with onus of decision on myself consciously 👉 I chose uncertainty over comfort. I chose growth over security. I chose purpose over routine. Our daughter, Rachel Corrie, was killed in 2003 in Gaza, while trying to protect a Palestinian home facing illegal destruction by the Israeli military. She was 23 years old. The massive, armored Caterpillar D-9 bulldozer that crushed her was operated by two Israeli soldiers and manufactured in the United States. It was the same type of militarized bulldozer that US presidents from George W. Bush through to Donald Trump have delivered to Israel. Today, as the destruction of Palestinian homes has only become more commonplace, not to mention the horror of Israel’s genocide, Senator Bernie Sanders will force a vote in the Senate to try to end this cycle of death by banning the transfer of D-9 bulldozers to Israel. We hope he will not take this stand alone. No policy can bring back those taken from us by these actions—children and other loved ones. But the Senate now has an opportunity to honor the memories of our daughter, other Americans, and thousands of Palestinian civilians killed, and to show that their deaths, and all the destruction, will no longer be condoned and funded. We hope those elected to represent us, the American people, understand the message that voting to block these D-9 bulldozers will send.
