@ImpossibleScott @voxagonlabs We haven't done a release in over a year, but the project is still in active development. In fact, Mun v0.4.0 is fast approaching - once this has been merged: github.com/mun-lang/mun/i… Having said that, we're not production-ready yet, as the language is still missing semantics.

Does anyone know of a minimal scripting language that is all of the below? 1) Easily embeddable in C/C++ 2) Light on memory and faster or on par with lua 3) Minimalistic. No standard library or built-in IO of any kind (safe)

@NotGyro Yes, we very much are! All of Mun's development is done in our spare time. To be more efficient, we decided to limit our blog posts to releases and technical explanations, allowing us to focus our time on development instead.

@ctengctsh @AmethystEngine The goal of Mun is to have a statically typed, ahead-of-time compiled language that supports hot reloading. Previously we used Lua - which has hot reloading and a JIT compiler too - but that has several drawbacks. Namely, JIT vs AOT compilation, and dynamic vs static typing

@munlangorg @AmethystEngine Hot Reloading seems like Mun's unique feature, but Erlang already has this. While taking "Static Typing", Erlang's latest JIT - BEAMAsm, also requires typing for JIT lowering/speculation performance?
