@metoffice sending out all these weather warnings will ultimately have the opposite effect of what you are trying to achieve. People will become immune to this. We can see when it's windy or wet. If there's ice on the windscreen, it means there's frost and it could be slippery.

@AlanJLSmith It's already not fair. You work your entire life and contribute via taxes, you get the same state pension as someone who has been on benefits their entire life. Not saying people people on benefits shouldn't get a pension, or shouldn't get benefits. Just imbalanced already.

A prediction: The UK state pension will be means tested. So those that have been responsible and saved for their retirement will receive less than those who didn’t. It may not be fair - but that’s where it’s going.
