Expanding TRIPP to mobile and a larger audience reach has been a concerted effort for the team this past year. This recent customer review about Kōkua, our AI on mobile was so exciting and validating to receive this week! However, please note that using our app is never a replacement for speaking with a professional during times of crisis or need. While technology solutions can be supportive, real human connection is always the preferred method of supporting your mental health.

The case remains unsolved after 21+ years. Jim was never found. Five days later, his hard hat was spotted beside a massive acid vat in the mill. Draining it uncovered his ID card, PalmPilot, safety glasses, credit card, cash, and one work key—no body or remains. He'd acted strangely the week before: fixated on joining the Freemasons and dropping hints he was in danger. Police searches (mill, grounds, beaches) found nothing conclusive. Wife Tracey believes he saw something at work he shouldn't have. Coroner presumed death, but no explanation. No closure.

On the morning of June 21st, 2004, process engineer Jim Donnelly arrived at work, placed a muffin on his desk, and changed into his work clothes. He briefly discussed soccer with a coworker. After this, his trail goes cold. When Jim didn’t show up for his 9 a.m. meeting, people at Glenbrook Steel began to wonder where he could be. They examined his office and found the muffin untouched and his computer off. There was no sign of Jim anywhere, but his vehicle still sat in the company parking lot. An extensive search for him would soon begin. Something had been troubling Jim, who displayed uncharacteristic behavior in the week leading up to his disappearance, including a sudden fixation on joining the Freemasons and cryptic remarks suggesting that he might be in some sort of danger. The most haunting photos ever taken: bit.ly/46yA996

Yes, through fetal microchimerism—a well-documented scientific phenomenon—cells from a child (you, as the fetus) cross into the mother's bloodstream during pregnancy and can persist in her tissues, organs (including the heart), and bone marrow for decades or even a lifetime. It's bidirectional too: some of her cells stay in you. The images illustrate this cellular exchange and the enduring bond. Fascinating biology, not magic!

Happy Lunar New Year 🧧 I am so grateful to have this painting by Pu Quan, the cousin and national artist to the last Emperor of China in my life again to start the Year of the Fire Horse. My grandparents collected Chinese art and our house was filled with it. This painting embodied the love our family had for horses. There are many paniolo men in my family who ranched every year together on the Big Island. My father loved being with his uncles and cousins ranching as a young boy. My uncles George and Joe told me this is how my father learned to be a Hawaiian. Being stewards of the land as Ohana. My grandparents had a stable of racehorses, my mother, my sister and cousin were great equestrians and my father lived his entire life riding, working and racing with horses up until the moment he died at Monticello Raceway crossing the finish line as a winner before having a massive heart attack that took him away from those who loved him too early. When my grandmother left Toronto to return to Hawai’i she gave this painting to my father. I am so grateful to my stepbrother Johnny for allowing me the opportunity to have this painting in my life again. One of my favorite moments last year was standing in front of it together with my cousin in my old house in Los Angeles as if revisiting a moment is our childhood when we were all together as children. It is now in a new peaceful home in a new state with my husband and sweet little doggy, Chola. Fire years have a lot of intense energy and combined with the momentum of horses it can be very turbulent. My advice is to ensure you have a peaceful grounding energy in your home to help you not be distracted by intense emotions that will swirl around us this year. This year is a great opportunity to use the speed of the horse 🐎 to help carry you towards realizing your dreams with effortless speed and focus. May you have many blessings this year and that they arrive swiftly to you and all of those you care about. gung hay fat choy ! 🧧🔥🐎🧧

The tribute to Vince Zampella at D.I.C.E. Is so moving. His impact on the Games Industry cannot be underestimated - many acknowledging that the industry wouldn’t be as successful as it is without him. Rest in Peace, Vince.

I've been coding almost daily since I turned 13. It's my favorite thing to do and my specialty has always been building things from scratch very quickly. Thanks to Claude I'm getting projects done in minutes or hours that would normally take weeks. Seriously. It's insane.

With the onslaught of AI Slop, real talent with be much more obvious and desired. What that looks like? You won’t get away with mediocrity anymore. The bar is now raised again on what it means to be an artist. Real musicians playing real instruments rather than electronic assisted music and knob turning as a “talent.” Real singers with true vocal skills vs autotune. Real actors and real storytellers vs “reality television” influencer content. Live theatre, live concerts, performance art renaissance. Handcrafted and artisanal and anything produced by real human hands will be desired. I also predict robot bands, robot deejays and robot artists that will force us to evolve even further as humans creating art. LFG!

I admire your work with YC and agree start ups are key. Would you support 1000 trade schools, an industrial development bank, AI literacy in K-12, tech job centers across California & America, $10 day childcare (for care jobs), high pay for home care workers with AI tools, Medicare for All so we don't have job lock and can have more founders, an open social web to allow portability of social media graph...there may be some overlap.

We have lost 68,000 manufacturing jobs since Trump took office. We have lost 161,000 blue collar jobs. We need new economic leadership that doesn't concentrate wealth & power in the hands of the few. An economy that works for all Americans. We need a new economic patriotism.

@Scobleizer I have been saying for years the mass adoption of headsets will be dynamic focusing/vision correction via adaptive lenses that auto focus. This is the utility function that will trigger the global presence of data enabled eyewear.

I've long heard that Apple is working on this kind of technology, but this is the first time I've seen a patent on it. Very interesting! This would dramatically help them adjust to people like me who need corrective lenses. It also has a major advantage in that some people's eyes actually change every day (that's coming from their own research). Their own research also found that a good percentage of people actually have the wrong corrective lenses in their eyeglasses, either because their eyes have changed, the optometrist messed up, or the process didn't work. This technology helps fix those people's problems as well. I don't expect glasses in 2027 to have this kind of technology, but I assume we'll see it over the next few years. But who knows?

🚨 NEW: Apple granted new patent that allows for a technology that eliminates the need for prescription lenses in upcoming AR/XR glasses by correcting all prescriptions including astigmatism on device.

.@benchmark co-lead the initial round for Cerebras 10 years ago. Over the following 5 years, the team amazed, delivering the technological marvel of a wafer-scale chip, the system to heat and cool it, and more recently the software layer that allows giant fleets of Cerebras systems to work together for very large MoE models. But even more impressive, is they just never fucking quit, despite kissing death like 3 times, getting made fun of for unusual early customers, and getting passed over by virtually every respected semi investor (who have all converted now). The team knew, IF they could stay alive, it was just a matter of time…. In tech, speed ultimately wins, and nothing is close to as fast as Cerebras.
Andrew Feldman@andrewdfeldman

@OpenAI and @Cerebras have signed a multi-year agreement to deploy 750 megawatts of Cerebras wafer-scale systems to serve OpenAI customers. This has been a decade in the making. Deployment begins in early 2026, and when fully rolled out, it will be the largest high-speed AI inference deployment in the world. OpenAI and Cerebras were both founded in 2015 with radically ambitious goals. OpenAI set out to build the software that would push AI toward general intelligence. Cerebras set out to rethink computing hardware from first principles. Our teams met as far back as 2017. We shared ideas, early work, and a common belief: there would come a point when model scale and hardware architecture would have to converge. That point has arrived. ChatGPT set the direction for the entire industry. It showed the world what AI could be. Now we’re in the next phase - not proving capability, but delivering it at global scale. The history of technology is clear on one thing: speed drives adoption. The PC industry didn’t operate at kilohertz. The internet didn’t change the world on dial-up. AI is no different. As models grow more capable, speed becomes the bottleneck. Slow systems limit what users can do, how often they engage, and whether AI becomes infrastructure or remains a novelty. Cerebras was built for this moment. By keeping computation and memory on a single wafer-scale processor, we eliminate the data-movement penalties that dominate GPU systems. The result is up to 15× faster inference, without sacrificing model size or accuracy. That speed changes product design, user behavior, and ultimately productivity. For consumers, it means AI that feels instantaneous. For the economy, it means agents that can finally drive serious productivity growth. For Cerebras, 2026 will be a defining year. With this collaboration with OpenAI, Cerebras’ wafer-scale technology will reach hundreds of millions - and eventually billions - of users. We’re proud to work alongside OpenAI to bring fast, frontier AI to people around the world. This is what a decade of long-term thinking looks like.
