@LouStagner It can happen. I shot a 77 as a 15 handicap, 10 under. That was the start of my handicap tumbling to 7, now back up at 12 and not broken 80 in two years.

@bullltwitt @PylonPenwortham @fesshole You don't use data to see your location on Google maps. It's GPS. I do it on flights to see where I am and flight mode is on.

@PylonPenwortham @fesshole My phone can pick up 4g networks over Australia. I’ve used it to check location on google maps. But it’s a nonsense story because it doesn’t cost to simply connect to foreign networks unless you actually use voice or data.

Just went an entire flight without having airplane mode on. No casualties reported.

@Heritagecricket @LouStagner It can happen though. Slightly different but as a 20 handicapper I twice played to a 9 handicap. Now as a 10 handicap, I've done the front nine level par, and on a different day, the back nine level par. Obviously putting them together is the hardest part but not impossible

Chatting to a friend, he played club comp at weekend, nett winner playing off 10, shot gross -1... nett 61. Nobody under a 10 handicap in top 20 nett scores. Is this a WHS thing or just always the way? A 10 handicapper shoting a gross 71 seems quite unusual too @LouStagner ?
