@AutismCapital This is true. Focus, attention, worry and anticipation are forms of worship, and when paired with emotion it is prayer.

This is one of the most important mental tools you can develop. Can not overstate how essential it is to understand this. Whatever you focus on grows. If you’re focusing on problems, even AVOIDING problems, you’re still focused on the problem. Instead you must focus on the solution and ONLY the solution. You must focus on what you desire, not what you resist. Your brain doesn’t know the difference between resist or desire. It just knows it’s going to amplify whatever you focus on. This is why it’s so dangerous to ruminate, dwell, and we believe societally it’s dangerous to build a “I have a mental illness, I am a victim, I need forever therapy,” DISCUSSION culture around problems. It only serves to AMPLIFY the problems. You must instead focus relentlessly, with discipline, trained like a skill, on only solutions and the positive outcomes you desire. Not woo. Not hippie dippie BS. Real actual concrete actionable fact. Very important and will pay unimaginable dividends if you train this in your mind. 📸: @SahilBloom
