Together with RDW, we have officially completed the final vehicle testing phase for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and have submitted all documentation required for the UN R-171 approval + Article 39 exemptions. The RDW team is now reviewing the documentation and test results package internally. They have communicated the expected approval for Netherlands date of 4/10, shifting from 3/20 previously and we look forward to successful completion of this cooperation.
Following the Netherlands’ approval, European countries will be able to recognize this approval nationally. We are anticipating a possible EU-wide approval during the summer.
Over the past 18 months, this approval has involved a series of intense documentation, development, testing, research & audits. Including but certainly not limited to:
– 1,600,000+ km of FSD (Supervised) testing on EU roads
– 13,000+ customer sales ride-alongs
– 4,500+ track test scenario executions
– Thousands of pages of written documentation for 400+ compliance requirements
– Dozens of research studies into safety performance/results
We're extremely proud of the work conducted with the RDW team up until this point.
We very much look forward to the approval in April, and sharing FSD (Supervised) with our patient EU customers!

To makes VR on Mac EVEN more easy for everyone, I made an iOS google cardboard like app . It uses ARKit for tracking, I'll try to add hand tracking too with an emulation for controllers using hands. Right now it simulates a Meta Quest 3 :-D Do you need and Android app too?
I can also make a Vision Pro app, BUT I don't have the Vision Pro... I need to find a way to get a used one and do that, but it's a bit expensive =D

Working on validating demand for a VR orbital sim built on NASA's JEOD/F´ stack. Same dynamics frameworks used for actual mission planning, running standalone on Meta Quest. 🚀
Presented at @FSWWorkshop 2024 @NASAJPL @SwRI - now the question is whether there's a market beyond aerospace engineers who miss Orbitersim.

No matter how many videos I make or how many times I say it, I see new posts every day on all social platforms that say "Meta is leaving VR" "The Quest is dead" or "What happens now that Meta is done with VR?" Sometimes it's fear mongers just rage baiting or people just spreading misinformation. But sometimes it's legit people who don't understand what is actually happening or who are just confused because they were given wrong information. It doesn't help that a lot of online news outlets have zero desire to do research or report facts and just parrot whatever they see or whatever they want to say. Meta isn't done with VR. The Quest isn't dead. Horizon Worlds is switching to mobile where it honestly probably should have been in the first place. Lots of devs still working on amazing projects for Quest.

Hey @XPlaneOfficial I'm the author of an upcoming @OpenXR runtime for MacOS that brings PCVR on Mac. It works today with Quest. I'll release the runtime on github.
I tried to force OpenXR on MacOS but it doesn't work, I suspect that it's because OpenXR is not linked with the executable and because the checkbox is disabled.
I can give you an early access to the openXR runtime if you want.
