"Folx" was arguably where wokeness jumped the shark. The other terminology changes had plausible reasoning: Yeah, "guys" actually is exclusionary. Yeah, "Indian" is just factually inaccurate. This was the first one that was purely and openly nothing more than ingroup signaling.
