Well done to our fantastic team who handed an updated petition into @Heidi_Labour on International White Cane Day following @LordPeterHendy unacceptable response to Lord Snapes & Lord Holmes concerns raised in @UKHouseofLords debate on Bus Services (No2) Bill on 13th October 2025

.@Keir_Starmer Routing cycle lanes on & through the pavement at bus stops breaches BS8300-1:2018 ‘Design of an Accessible & Inclusive Built Environment’ Section 6.2.2 on Bus Stops which states ‘pedestrians should have access to & from the bus stop without crossing cycle routes’.

What we’ve delivered with Londoners over the past ten years is just the start. Together, we’ve cleaned our air, built homes for Londoners, delivered over one million free school meals and much more. Best city in the world, best job in the world ♥️

London has been awarded the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize 2026. This prestigious award is global recognition of the work we’ve done to build a better London for everyone. This shows what we can achieve when we work together.

‘The tragedy is that visually impaired people are ending up at the bottom of the pile & are designed out of the environment’ Andrews words about a pavement-less bus stop on the new Lea Bridge Road cycle lane in London. @LouHaigh @simonlightwood we need urgent help on this issue.

In which @Mather_Keir pretends floating bus stops are accessible for everyone when responding to MPs in the Access Denied debate. The whole of the UK sight loss community knows this to be untrue.

.@LordPeterHendy @Heidi_Labour this is terrifying for any pedestrian. @danielmgmoylan @LordChrisHolmes please ask Lord Hendy when does he expect floating bus stops like these in Waltham Forest to be removed?

A call for floating bus stops to be banned by @MarshadeCordova in the debate ‘Transport Accessibility for Disabled People’ 👏👏👏 #AccessDenied

@SarahLudford Maybe the bridge gods are trying to tell you that walking & cycling is the future in London

Petition handed into @Keir_Starmer yesterday to halt anymore floating bus stops as the Bus Services (No2) Bill Committee @HouseofCommons meets for the 1st time today, with this message from Hyacinth ‘The Bus Bill as it stands will not work for people like myself - blind people’
