Of late, I've been noticing a couple of Manipuri, Naga and some Mizo accounts dehumanizing Arunachalis on social media. Calling them "cowbelt of NE", "begging for mainland attention" just because they speak Hindi & are a little different from these states. Many accounts go further to subtly suggest that Arunachalis should 'revolt' or 'get away from mainlanders'. I, for one, am not someone who believes in performative patriotism. Arunachalis developed such a sense of patriotism and Hindi due to how they developed from the days of NEFA to statehood due to relative peace in the state - not to please someone. I totally condemn, abhor such discrimination & dehumanization of fellow Arunachalis. Arunachal has its own issues of corruption, dilution of culture, language, but I believe they will find their roots back or pave their own path.

Fact check: In the Northeast there are more than a dozen insurgent groups proscribed as per the Ministry of Home Affairs, among them only 3 are Christian dominated, whereas 9 are Hindu dominated (which includes 6 Meitei VBIGs). All insurgent groups are ethno-centric, some use religious war cry slogans, but that's just for boosting the morale of the cadres. For example insurgents belonging to Koch ethnicity often use the slogan "Jai Maa Bhawani", but their ideology is not related to forming a Hindu theocratic state, instead it's ethnic interests. In the late 1960s, NSCN chief Muivah led a group of Naga insurgents on a grueling trek through Myanmar to China. There, he received extensive political and military training from the Chinese Communist Party. This resulted in the local Naga Church leadership accusing them of being "godless communists." To counter this severe PR problem and win the backing of the deeply religious Naga public, the NSCN vigorously emphasized its commitment to "Nagaland for Christ," eventually making it their official manifesto slogan, however it was a well known fact that in Muivah was more commited to Maoist ideology over the Christian rhetoric he used for PR, and the NSCN led by Muivah had killed more Christians (especially Kukis) than non-christians. During a 2005 BBC Interview with Thuingaleng Muivah, when questioned about the slogan "Nagaland for Christ" and asked directly whether the proposed Naga state would be a theocracy, Muivah explicitly denied it. He clarified that the slogan was widely misunderstood by outsiders. He explained that "Nagaland for Christ" is not a legal framework or a constitutional mandate, but rather an aspiration reflecting the demographic reality of the Naga people, who are overwhelmingly Christian. He explicitly stated: "The Naga State has to be secular; if it is not secular, then we would be betraying ourselves."

This guy Seitz works for Sheild AI (4.5 Bn deal with GOI) was in Silliguri army base for training Indian army on V-BAT (UAS) not Kukis 😐. His air cargo was cleared by Indian customs after permission from Army. Can you share the source where his interrogation reveled that he was training Kukis ? We already have systems in place to handle any nefarious activities, which is why the Government of India gave him a clean chit. There’s no need to sensationalize an issue that lacks any real substance. Indian will not buckle for anyone who harm Indian intrest. Trust this much.
