“I’m banned from traveling to the #UK by the socialist @Keir_Starmer government because I oppose mass-#immigration and #Islamization. #FreeSpeech in a socialist country means state-approved speech only… I know the system well enough by now… I should have torn up my passport, and sailed from the Belgian coast to Dover in an inflatable boat and registered there as a political refugee. Then, presumably, I would have been received with open arms, offered a hotel, and granted refugee status. There is only one possible answer to the state repression of the Left: #Resistance! Take to the streets in #London on Saturday and show your anger peacefully! Stand with @TRobinsonNewEra and send Starmer home, send the illegal immigrants and criminals home, take your country back and Make England and Europe Great Again!”

I appreciate the intense interest in my column. For skeptics, why not agree on Red Cross and lawyer visits for the 9,000 Palestinian "security" prisoners? If you think these abuse allegations are false, such monitoring visits would be protective. So why not?
Nicholas Kristof@NickKristof

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opi…

Dr Manivannan may be a nice young person. But I don’t want to live in a country where people on student visas can become elected representatives to national parliaments. He’s crowdfunding from Green Party members for his graduate visa for pete’s sake. gbnews.com/politics/elect…

Today is a test for our great country. Like a frog that’s slowly boiled in ever hotter water, for decades we have been seemingly oblivious to our perilous situation.  But are we now sensing the danger we’re in? Speaking to people across the country, I know that many of you already have. It’s why voting in your local elections is so important. To send the clearest message possible – “Enough. The British people don’t want to go on like this. We want this mess we’re in to be fixed.” Suffice to say, I have also woken up. I joined the Conservative Party in a contrarian act as Tony Blair stormed to power in 1997. A simpler time, but underpinned by decisions that were to rebound terribly upon the country. It was a dance held on a precipice. One that came to an abrupt stop with the financial crash in 2008. Turbulence ensued. And from 2010, Conservative-led governments for 14 years. Some tinkering here and there, but on the fundamental questions facing our country? No change. The self-confessed ‘heirs to Blair’, in key respects, entrenched the settlement he left. Migration surged. In fact, the whole economic model became based upon it. National identity eroded. The welfare bill exploded. Military spending was cut to fund foreign aid for rich countries, so our leaders could virtue signal their compassion on the world stage. Impossible and extortionate commitments to Net Zero were made that went further than Labour dreamt of. Brexit was a warning to the political establishment that the status quo wasn't working. But it was roundly ignored. By the time I became Immigration Minister, six years after the vote, I was treated to Whitehall’s version of shock and awe.  I saw the dangerous criminals streaming in who put the safety of women and girls at risk. British identity under attack as large parts of our major cities became unrecognisable. And taxpayers’ money poured down the drain on migrants who weren’t even here to work (Reform now estimates the Boriswave could cost the taxpayer up to £620 billion).  Radicalised, I fought alongside Suella Braverman for what the country needed. Ultimately, only a handful of brave colleagues - nearly all of whom are now in Reform - joined me in saying we must leave the ECHR to restore sanity to our immigration system. But the Conservatives didn’t listen. They lied through their teeth, telling the country their plan would stop the boats, when they knew it wouldn’t. Do I chastise myself that I woke up late? Yes. But I became determined to make the case for undoing the harm and setting us on a better path. Today, our problems are even worse. Which is why I joined Reform as our country’s last and best hope to get back on track. Last week I was campaigning in Havant. For the first time in my lifetime, the Tories there are a wasted vote. A recent poll showed over half of all voters have an unchanged or worse view of the Tories. One in five have stopped thinking about them at all. Those who do, don’t recognise the Conservative Party as wholly conservative. They know it is still populated by those who’d be better off in the Lib Dems and controlled by the same old clique.   As for the other parties? With Keir Starmer floundering, they’ve cooked up  a new dirty deal. Remarkably, Labour, the Lib Dems and Greens in Havant have agreed that just one of their parties will stand a candidate in each ward, with the other two standing down. In elections across the country a vote for the Conservatives risks letting in a Labour, Lib Dem or Green council.  That’s a council that stands for more migrants, higher taxes, and sky-high energy prices. A medley of madness, delivered by a cocktail of clowns. Let’s not let this Prime Minister hang on by stitching up these elections across the country. We need change now. So I urge you to get behind Nigel and his team to end this madness. To get our country back, vote Reform.

The message to Green Party activists to be a *little* less overt with their Jew hatred appears not to have reached Peterborough. The candidate there posted this just a few hours ago.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the Greens have a serious antisemitism problem. They cannot be trusted to run your local area. Don’t allow them to spread their hate. Vote Reform UK tomorrow to stop a coalition of chaos in your community.

JVL rejects false allegations of antisemitism against the Greens JVL stands in solidarity with the Green Party against false allegations of antisemitism Those who wish to maintain their power in British politics and the media want, once again, to weaponise antisemitism against a progressive leader; this time against Zack Polanski, and the Green Party that he leads. jewishvoiceforlabour.org.uk/statement/fals…

Labour has halved the cost of childcare, and now we’re doing even more to make high-quality early years education more accessible and affordable. We’re cutting the cost of living and giving children the best start in life. Good to be out campaigning on how we are delivering for Portsmouth’s families.

25+ Green Party candidates with hateful and dangerous views. As @SteveReedMP says, this isn’t one or two bad apples, it is serial hatred from candidates handpicked by Zack Polanski and the Green Party to represent them at the ballot box. Reject hate and vote Labour tomorrow 🌹
