The launch adds a Quantum Risk Score, a guided workflow to move funds off exposed addresses, a new UTXO selection method, and updated default address type controls, all built on the multi-sig architecture BitGo pioneered. i moved my base from dubai to singapore given recent geopolitical developments frankly this move reminded of why we have crypto cards and neobanks: banks. for eg, when closing bank accounts you need to have 0 in ur acc. if you have 0.50 cents, you can’t close it. but the min tx is 1 usd, so how the fuck am i supposed to close it? you wait for 5 days talking to idiotic chat bots to manually do it. this is by design. countries hate when you leave and banks want to pump user metrics by making it hard to close secondly, onramping into a new banking system as a crypto person is a nightmare. @OKXSingapore offers a great service here but it’s an exception to the rule not only that, but once you are in the system you still face obstacles. for eg @Revolut personal acc have a self-imposed limit of 20k sgd in your acc. i literally am not allowed to hold more, so i am forced to migrate to a big bank my point is, there is a reason we have crypto and neobanks: to be easily able to pack our shit and leave without being beholden to states and banks. long live neobanks. fuck fiat.

the bottom line: to me, Vitalik's blog is essentially a state-minimization thesis for Ethereum, but the tradeoffs seem to be numerous and genuinely worth considering curious to hear your thoughts!

some more trade-offs flagged in the comments to the blog: slashing evidence still has to be processed transparently onchain - it sits outside the ZK system entirely, so you don't get full statelessness there no clean protocol-level incentive yet for anyone to include daily balance proofs in blocks, which makes them censorable in theory daily identity rotation makes evicting inactive/offline validators murkier: self-reporting won't cut it, needs its own mechanism proving is compute-heavy, not storage-heavy, which could shift the validator hardware profile toward whoever can run STARK proving cheaply, not just whoever can store data cheaply this is genuinely early stage: no EIP, no timeline, part of a 3-4 year lean Ethereum roadmap
