(not so) random thought: most new privacy chains don’t need to be new chains. i mean - why are we still launching new privacy L1s/L2s from scratch… instead of simply building privacy on top of the chains people already use? feels like an easier path, imo. - devs keep using ecosystems they already understand - you inherit users + liquidity - no need to relearn new tooling - no need to bootstrap from zero - no distribution problem you plug into existing demand instead of trying to create it. otherwise they’re more like distribution problems disguised as infrastructure. i’ve seen a few teams exploring this direction (like Inco working with Solana recently) and it just makes more sense to me. if the goal is actually getting people to build and use private apps… lowering friction > launching another chain. or am i missing something - is there a strong reason to go the “new chain” route?

@EliBenSasson it's a huge 80:20 difference for those who do not hold those values and those who do. it's all just max extraction for most people.

People think crypto is about the tech. It’s not. It’s about values. Hashes, ZK, decentralization -- these are all tools to shift control from banks / states /big companies / big brother into your hands.

@EliBenSasson abstraction and security. CEXs are way easier for noobs and if ever there is major adoption, CEXs will still be the go to. also, not everybody wants security in their hands. a lot of normies simply can't trust themselves with a 12 seed phrase.

Incredible how inefficient markets still are. Infinex announced the $INX snapshot timing a dozen times, yet people kept listings and bids open. Post-snapshot patrons are getting dumped into them, costing some tens of thousands of dollars. The game is still way too easy for value extractors. But no sympathy for people who handle their funds this carelessly. But somehow, it's exactly them who're always complaining the loudest,

@abelonchain the whole privacy meta was just that— a meta. don't really think anybody believed any of all that. everything is revolutionary and mind-blowing when it's new here.

Possible impacts of vibe coding: 1. Fewer bugs, because computers are less prone to human error. 2. More bugs, because computers are still not trained or creative enough to figure out best practices and optimizations.

Khaby Lame just retired at 25 for $975,000,000. The company that bought it expects to generate $4B this year. But Khaby didn't just sell his TikTok account. He sold his entire existence. The deal includes a scary "AI Digital Twin" clause: He handed over his: • Face ID • Voice ID • Behavioral models Since he never speaks in his videos, there's no language barrier. Which means his AI clone is now: • Selling sneakers in Shanghai • Promoting skincare in São Paulo • Doing brand deals in Los Angeles All at the exact same time. Brands are currently paying $1M per ad to use his digital twin. He doesn't show up. He doesn't film anything. He doesn't even open his laptop. His clone does everything. While the real Khaby is probably on a beach somewhere. The trajectory has been nothing short of impressive. 2020: laid off from factory job in Italy 2026: $975M exit without saying a word He went from unemployment to billionaire status by pointing at things.

@SerrDavee Funny thing are the "payment" L2s who have no idea who their target audience are. you're building a "lightening" fast and secure payment rail and you're still a racist, shitting on "third" world countries. lol.

it’s a big shame to L2s that they exist and a payment like this was made on ethereum it’s the result of not having an arm doing grassroots marketing in Nigeria where 40% of transactions happen in stablecoins the market is so big it processed over $90B in volume in the last year you build an L2 and say you’re faster & cheaper yet there’s zero effort on your end to penetrate the Nigerian markets everyone I know in that region uses Tron or ETH for transactions & not one L2 has been able to offset this despite being a relatively better option you’re faster, cheaper and inherit ethereum’s security so why not? all they know how to do is pander themselves on CT and sh!t on third world countries until one general purpose L2 can challenge ethereum & Tron in these regions, every new chain launch will just become a ghost town because there aren’t people using it as a NEED. can’t even blame builders cause crypto is just a reflection of what happens when people are building to raise, not to serve.

Noob traders often make these mistakes. Many are either risking too much or trying to revenge trade. Worst case scenario, fees eat into their profit. Here is a video on how to avoid these mistakes and why you should trade on @avantisfi, a dApp built on @baseapp.

2025 was just...a lot. First day of the year I was coming back from my friend's place on the island. Though the place was rented out the two days I spent there did something to my mindset. I had only one sentence in my mind the whole trip home: "I must get to there." How I was going to do it, I had only vague ideas, nothing concrete. Started texting @MrAsheone (my lock-in brother!) and we got to drafting out goals. I was feeling pumped for the year ahead. Nothing was gonna stop me from achieving these. Or so I thought. Looking back at the me from January I can tell I've definitely grown as a person. Sure my bags went up (but mostly down😮‍💨) and I got more experience under my belt, I still wish I'd be able to tell him the mistakes to avoid and what he needs to work on (like his self-confidence!!) I met some really crazy people that embody what it means to have motion. To @ObitoDontMiss @gonisalive @mystiquecreates @Elect_Hyginus @fibibakes @Sneh_Crypt @Chinwe__foxy and the many many others, thank you so much!🥹🥹 I also wanna use this chance to say that I'll be stepping a bit away from web3. My heart has always been in gaming from day one and following the advice @fibibakes gave me, I'll now be focusing on sharing my community expertise primarily with indie game studios. I can't say with certainty what the new year will bring, but it'll definitely be crazy! We will do crazy things, watch! I remain forever, the one and only Jeir.🙂‍↕️
