Each of us is the child on the left. But most of us don't realise it. We hold onto the small ways in which the world is unfair to us personally, and extrapolate. Recognising our privelege is the first step towards the ultimate goal of Justice. #CheckYourPrivilege

Is trash meant to be unloaded and segregated in a residential area? Doesn't urban planning require a designated zone for this? Why is not action being taken despite repeated complaints? @jayesh_ranjan escalating the matter to you. @GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC @DC17Khairatabad

We continue to suffer with trash piling up in our locality. It smells horrible and is a health hazard. @GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC the truck that unloads trash is also in the pictures

Some of you of a certain vintage may remember my brother Taru who isn’t active here anymore. He’s the most gentle soul, the most caring individual, the best human being I’ve met here. He’s embarked on a musical journey and please please hear his art. artists.landr.com/taru-dariya-me…

@hippierani I didn't know it was pronounced that way. But now that I know, I certainly will. It is an easy sound.

Despite repeated complaints, the GHMC truck still unloads their garbage on the road in a residential area where the segregation is done. Please take action immediately. Location: maps.app.goo.gl/8eB2frYyH99xVc… @DC17Khairatabad @GHMCOnline @DEE_SWM_C35 @jayesh_ranjan @gadwalvijayainc

@LarissaFernand Well, maybe it would have been nice if the nephew first clarified with his aunt, then the friend in person, rather than jumping several levels and going straight to building management.

Is anyone wrong here? Nephew was looking out for the aunt. When he realised that the neighbor wasn't manipulating her to gain access to money, he apologised. Friend sounds like a kind soul. But is jaded now (and rightly so, who wants to be accused?). He won’t help again.

A friend of mine learned the hard way that sometimes kindness gets misunderstood. He had been helping an elderly woman in his apartment building for months. Nothing major. Just small things like carrying groceries upstairs or fixing little things in her apartment. One day she asked him if he could drive her to the bank because she wasn’t comfortable going alone. He agreed and took her there during his lunch break.

@LarissaFernand I kind of understand where both people are coming from. The nephew was only looking out for his aunt (though one could argue that he was trying to protect his inheritance). But who can blame the friend for being wary of helping others after this? I woudl continue helping, though

I'm home for the first time after ma passed away in August. Everything is weird. I keep thinking she's just in her puja room and will come out, wet hair wrapped in gamchha, crisp cotton sari, red bindi and say "What's the point of cooking for you? You will go out and eat fuchka"
