This is why they say we are good people it refuse to associate our goodness with our discipleship or faith in Christ or admonish the Church for bringing us unto Christ. No credit will be given. But they try to make themselves feel better about their dishonesty by saying we are good

Mormons are a thorn in everyone’s shoe because they meet the lowest-common-denominator standard for what it means to be Christian. They’re a silent indictment of Protestantism. How are they not Christian? Their faith is centered around Christ. They believe He died to atone for our sins, and that He rose from the dead. They believe in baptism, and repentance from sin. I was told that’s all you need. Mormons illustrate for everyone that that’s not all you need. Doctrine is important. Getting the Trinity right is important. You’re not Christian if you get the Trinity wrong. Now suddenly you have to get that right too in order to be saved. Another condition to salvation pops out of the blue. So there are these boundaries Protestants are always having to draw to try and exclude certain groups and not others—completely arbitrary, post-hoc boundaries. You challenge them on it and they recede back to “you just have to have faith in Jesus. Stop making it complicated.” Okay, Mormons have faith in Jesus. Roman Catholics have faith in Jesus. You’re trying to get the best of both worlds, innocent (rather blind) faith in Jesus without a bunch of rules and doctrines, but when that net is too wide you add back the parameters, like a sheepdog that just can’t keep up with all the sheep. Mormons show how Protestantism is the most rule-laden religion of all. The simplicity is an illusion. They’re constantly bouncing between simple and complicated. Notice it next time. This is why they hate Mormons—the black sheep of the Protestant family.

I've never seen so many Christians deny Christs word to own the "Mormuns", and lie in the process. It really is a sight to see.

The basic reply is that Mormons believe like the 1st Cent. before the 4th Cent. creeds. But there is no way to get from the text of the Bible to: "Yahweh" was a human that came from Kolob, Jesus and Lucifer are brothers, or Jesus came to America, without 19th Century fiction.
John Klink, Jr.@EagleAndSparrow

As Christians, we must be totally honest. Mormons do worship a Jesus Christ. It's just not the Jesus Christ revealed in the Bible. It is a Jesus Christ that was invented by Joseph Smith and who is not like the one in the Bible. Thus, they are not Biblical Christians.

Fun Fact: I grew up Mormon & left. According to LDS theology, Hitler will go to the Telestial Kingdom, because he “never knew the truth” of the church. *I*, however, will spend eternity in Outer Darkness (Mormon version of Hell) because I am an apostate. I am worse than Hitler.
JustPassingThrough 🇻🇦@TribeRuffner

So the LDS baptized Hitler and sealed him to Eva Braun in the 90’s according to this document Very interesting. A bit odd. #LDSX

@GoWithJordan_ @TableTopLiberty @Mormonger Why are so obsessed with monotheism? Shouldn’t you focus on a truthful understanding of who and what the Father Son and HG are instead? Monotheism is not mentioned in the bible. It’s a false standard you hold to.

I can articulate it. No the lds godhead is not a way to articulate it. Its 3 gods in one purpose. 3 gods is not monotheism. At the heart of Christianity is monotheism. The belief that there is only one being who is God. Only one. Not 3. Every Christian at every age knows that and believes that. Mormonism fundamentally denies it. In fact there can seemingly be an infinite number of gods in mormon thought

🚨WHY Mormon proxy baptism is still wrong, even though it's truly powerless. It's about CONSENT and CONSCIENCE. No, our spirits cannot consent to a Mormon proxy baptism after death. Let's refer to 1 Corinthians 8–10 and Romans 14. This isn't an exact parallel situation, but it does highlight the idea of the "power" of pagan rituals. Back in the early church, Christians had a problem: >meat was often used as a sacrifice to an idol/demon in the a pagan ritual and sold in the marketplace >Christians wouldn't know whether it was appropriate to purchase meat in the marketplace or eat meat that was served in a pagan friend's home >If the idol is powerless (bc only God is powerful) does it matter that I eat the meat sacrificed to idols? >Does the idol have power or does it have no power? Paul writes extensively about this issue and provides this direction: Idols are not real gods, so eating meat that had been offered to idols is not inherently sinful. However, believers should not use their freedom in a way that harms another person's conscience or draws them into behavior they believe is wrong. No, your baptisms won't truly harm us. But you're drawing us into a ritual that you know is a violation of our conscience according to our tradition. Our consent on earth matters more than the imaginary choice you THINK you "give" our spirit after death. You're touching things sacred to us, it implies our faith is invalid or incomplete and it's a major violation regardless of what you think of it or not. We don't consent to it. It's the height of hubris and a callous disregard for the Christian's conscience.

LDS arent Christian because we believe the trinity consists of 3 separate beings? 32 ¶ But of that day & that hour knoweth no man, no not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. So as 1 being, does 1 portion of its intellect know but the other doesnt?

I did. It was a horrible experience. Full of factual errors (Jesus being born in Jerusalem, horses in America before the Spanish brought them, etc.), poorly written, hundreds of "and it came to pass" and other statements making it obvious that it is the same writer in each book, tells of a group being cursed with being black, Jesus telling the Nephites he is the "Alpha and Omega" when they would never have known Greek, quoting Latin words from the King James and other Biblical passages (which were the best parts of the reading), describing places and people that do not reflect the archeological and DNA evidence at all...and that's just the highlights and doesn't include the theoligical statements that directly contradict the Bible.... It's an absolute mess. But lastly...it promises another testament, which demonstrates it to be a different religion than Christianity. If it's just a different denomination, no new scriptures would be needed. You would never become LDS from reading the Bible alone.
Mike Lee@BasedMikeLee

Read the Book of Mormon. Cover to cover. Pray about it, asking sincerely to know whether it’s true (the final chapter provides specific guidance on this point). Then tell me whether Latter-day Saints believe in Jesus Christ. Will you accept that challenge?

I’ve often heard it said, primarily in jest, that other denominations feel threatened by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have a lay ministry that is all voluntary, so if their congregation converts the other churches lose funding. I never quite believed it. You know how many of the people attacking us online have “pastor” in their bio? Most of the ones I have looked at. These people are paid by the donations to their church. These donations should be serving their community, not enriching the preacher.

A question for my fellow Latter-day Saints: Obviously, the King Follet sermon gets brought up a lot more online than in meatspace discussions, as anti-Mormons love to use it as a stick to beat us with. However, I see a lot more members denying, or at least expressing less confidence in, associated ideas such as "infinite regression" than I would have expected. What is your sense of the actual attitudes across the Church? Are members as a whole less accepting of infinite regression etc. than they once were, or is LDX a skewed sample? (Note: I'm not asking what YOU believe. I'm asking what your sense is of what OTHER people believe.)

@rileyadamvoth The simple answer to these people is that to achieve his carnal desires he took the hardest path to get them. And that is their most lrational explanation. No, he could have easily lived in a big city womanizing without mobs hounding him and lived a drama free life of ease.

Nah there's nothing at all complicated about Mormonism. A horny man who was a known fraudster wanted to screw more girls and other men's wives and there's been plenty more of these horny men who liked sex, power and money ever since to keep up the charade of "it's complicated" and continually adapt the cults beliefs to the times ever since. Classic cult tale as old as time.

Creedal Christians got to understand how unappealing their version of the afterlife seems to someone who grew up with the Restored Gospel. Your marriages and relationships are all annulled so you can worship at the feet of some formless, genderless other that exists outside of time and space. And I guess you just bask in his ambience for eternity. No progression. No growth. And if you don't worship him just right in this life, he sends you to burn in Hell forever! Me, my children, my sweet old grandma--we're all going to suffer eternal torment because we worshiped the "wrong Jesus" in this short life. It just sounds so unlike the loving Father that we know and worship. His plan for us, as we understand it, balances love and justice perfectly. We will ALL get the same opportunity to accept or reject His gospel. Not Mormonism. Not Catholicism, Protestantism--HIS gospel. (I'm sure this is full of mischaracterizations, but they do that shiz to us constantly, so idc.)

Dear Anti-Mormons: Exaltation or becoming Gods does not involve us replacing God and becoming the subjects of our own self worship. It’s becoming joint heirs with Christ and partaking of everything the Father has, but it is NOT us overtaking him as the most high.
