AI is enabling domain experts to start building software they actually want. This is going to be the pivot. Domain experts + in-house software devs will be able to produce bespoke solutions. The question is: will those solutions actually be cost beneficial in the long run and will AI be able to produce high-enough quality with the software devs guiding them. I still think you're going to need really good software engineers to make sure your company and software doesn't do a bunch of stupid stuff. The future is going to be interesting.

🚨Architects are going to hate this. Someone just open sourced a full 3D building editor that runs entirely in your browser. No AutoCAD. No Revit. No $5,000/year licenses. It's called Pascal Editor. Built with React Three Fiber and WebGPU -- meaning it renders directly on your GPU at near-native speed. Here's what's inside this thing: → A full building/level/wall/zone hierarchy you can edit in real time → An ECS-style architecture where every object updates through GPU-powered systems → Zustand state management with full undo/redo built in → Next.js frontend so it deploys as a web app, not a desktop install → Dirty node tracking -- only re-renders what changed, not the whole scene Here's the wildest part: You can stack, explode, or solo individual building levels. Select a zone, drag a wall, reshape a slab -- all in 3D, all in the browser. Architecture firms pay $50K+ per seat for BIM software that does this workflow. This is free. 100% Open Source.

It appears the post showcasing our group copy trading detection ruffled some feathers. Traders are now wondering if they are allowed to stream their trades live or trade with their favorite live streamer. Time for another thread. I guess this is my life now 🧵

@ajtradinglucid So basically, add a delay to the stream to prevent viewers from copying your trades.

Celebrating taxes is the weirdest thing ever. I get it – taxes are a fact of life. But something to celebrate?

@naiivememe And in one-three months they will wonder why nothing works... turns out (hi @amazon), AI is super good at the demo projects that managers love, but still requires people willing to roll up their sleeves and fix the bugs and integrations issues that arise.

I've found this to be true. I think there's far too much "look what I one-shot" which is just a bunch of crap code and an experience that barely works. That was my experience for a while as well. As someone who cares about the quality of what I produce, I was very reluctant to AI because of that. However, the more I've figured out how to prompt it to move from prototype to real code, I've found that I actually can be quicker and produce similar quality code. A high-quality prototype that might have taken me a month to produce can take a week now.
The Pragmatic Engineer@Pragmatic_Eng

How Mitchell Hashimoto (@mitchellh, creator of Ghostty, founder of HashiCorp) got good at using AI tools for coding + work: "I was forcing myself to figure out how to prompt the agent to produce the same quality result as mine. Even though I was working much slower because it was more than double the work."

Can you afford a 30% utility rate increase? The Center Square reports that Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is proposing 30% electricity bill hikes and 20% natural gas hikes over three-years, driven largely by costs to maintain compliance to the Climate Commitment Act from WA Democrats (SB 5126 in 2021). PSE must first get permission from the WA Utilities and Transportation Commission, which is appointed by the Governor, for their utility hike plans. Energy bills have already shot up 12% this year. We need policies that lower the cost of energy, instead of perpetually increasing it. @thecentersquare: ow.ly/7Umh50Ys8CZ #UnaffordableWA #PowerWA #waleg

Nope, especially with a large family. Food is subpar, kids menus are a joke (my kids actually like vegetables). The wife and I will still go out on date nights, but otherwise, it's far too expensive now. There are very few places we will go out to, and that's only because we cannot replicate that type of meal at home, but even then, it's like once every 3-6 months.

Yeah, my family no longer goes out to eat. Not worth it.

I literally put a Support ticket in and got a response in 20 minutes. The only thing they said was that it was indeed a feature of the paper trading function, and that some brokers MIGHT support it through the API integration, but never said which ones. I did however, get clarity from the community. so I scratched this off my list.

Bruh why does Tori Trades think we're all stupid? Lmao. Tradingview literally telling us this is a demo account 😭 No broker that you connect to tradingview does this. ONLY the paper trading function shows this as well as the reverse button. Maybe someone can help me further debunk this 🤭 One thing for sure is we all know what demo looks like via Tradingview.

@courtneytrades Prove it. because I talked to Support over at tradingview and they said that this is a feature exclusive to the paper trading function that’s built in.

@RolyPolyFish @choeshow Yes. Look at the makeup of the Supreme Court here. They will overturn the previous ruling that income is not actually a form of property.

@GovBobFerguson I’m so sick of this drivel. You are literally celebrating a bill that violates the Washington State constitution ands head already been upheld by a state Supreme Court ruling. Justify that.

The Millionaires' Tax has now been approved by the Senate. Donald Trump and the MAGA Congress are taking from the lowest income Americans and transferring that to the wealthiest Americans. With a tax that 0.5% of Washingtonians will pay, our state is: Expanding the Working Families Tax Credit to 460,000 additional households. Providing tax relief to nearly 140,000 small businesses. Exempting diapers, hygiene products, and over-the-counter medicines from sales tax. Investing significant funding into childcare and early learning. Providing free school lunch and breakfast for all Washington students.
