JFC! When will the 40% of Canadians clue in that they're getting ripped off by a bunch of snobby elites only in it for themselves. I'm old enough to remember when a $16 glass of juice was enough to cost a politician their career.
Moose on the Loose@dsimieritsch

Carney spent 2.6 million on King Charles 24 hour trip to Ottawa last year with: -$75 for orange juice -$75 for apple juice -$10 for a bunch of mint Is this building Canada Strong? Or have they been ripping us off far too long?

Mark Carney says he is giving $27,000 of support for a family of 4 If two parents work full-time and collectively make over $100,000 You get zero support from this liberal government They are crushing the middle class

Mark Carney walks past reporters on his way to caucus and refuses to answer questions. This is the same government that wants Canadians to trust them on affordability, spending, immigration, AI, online harms, foreign policy, pipelines, housing, and the economy. But when reporters are standing right there? Keep walking. Carney wants the office. He wants the cameras. He wants the controlled announcements. He just doesn’t seem very interested in the accountability part.

@peterdcowan @Tablesalt13 I plan on deporting a million immigrants doing nothing but stealing from us , committing crimes, etc... Can't be hard. Doing nothing for society. Well... it would be hard for the current immigration gal or Miller and Fraser....🤣 They failed the portfolio.

@PierrePoilievre @AndrewScheer Listen to Carneys speeches maybe? He talks about what is being done there. I guess you dummies omitted those parts in your careful analysis. Carbon tax all over again.

Hundreds of workers at Algoma Steel in Sault Ste. Marie have lost their jobs because of U.S. tariffs & rising costs of taxes on steel making. Is this the rupture Mark Carney is talking about? What is his plan to reverse it? Overseas speeches, promises, illusions, and excuses will not put paycheques in pockets or food on the tables of these workers. Time to go from rhetoric to results.

🚨 BREAKING Canada’s entrepreneurship rate just hit a 45-year low. IT GETS WORSE. The number of Canadians who actually run businesses with employees dropped 57% since 2000. IT GETS WORSE. VC investment got cut in half in two years. Seed rounds here are 40% smaller than the US. IT GETS WORSE. In 2024, for the first time ever, more Canadian-educated founders started their companies in the US than in Canada. Only 1 in 3 are still based here. IT GETS WORSE. Y Combinator briefly removed Canada from its acceptable jurisdictions list entirely. They sent a message. New businesses created since 2015: France up 86% UK up 40% US up 34% Canada? Flat. 191,000 → 190,000 $66 billion in startup ecosystem value: gone from Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal in five years. We’re not just losing OUR BEST to the US. We’re losing the people who CREATE the jobs. THE BEST PEOPLE ARE LEAVING.

Trump: "Tomorrow morning, we were expected to blow up their largest electric generating plants that cost over $10 billion to build. One shot. It's gone. It collapses. Why would they want that? So they called. I didn't call. They called. They want to make a deal."

71% of Waterloo's best engineers leave Canada (UWaterloo SE Class of 2022 graduate survey). And nobody riots. In any other country, a 71% talent export rate would be a national emergency. In Canada, it's Tuesday. The problem isn't the people who leave. They're rational. The US pays 2-3x more, taxes less, and builds things that matter. The problem is the people who stay and never ask why the system is designed to make leaving the rational choice. Canada doesn't have a brain drain problem. It has a demand problem. Nobody demands better. Not from the universities. Not from the employers. Not from the government. The best leave. The rest adjust. The cycle continues. Every country gets the talent retention rate it deserves.

If oil is a global price why do some countries have gas and diesel prices at a small fraction of other countries? How can gas be $6.52/gallon in Canada and only $0.87/gallon in Libya?
