Note that this could just have easily been a fraudster posing as someone from your bank. If you suspect it’s fake, hang up and call the organization back using the phone number you already know (from your statements, filed account info, etc.).

Here’s my community PSA for the day. Be vigilant and don't trust any call that comes to you out of the blue saying that they're Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Google, etc. These companies don't reach out to you this way. This scam is pretty insidious.

@Ask_Spectrum 15 hour downtime yesterday in 90024 due to a cut fiber line or fire or whatever. Learn good PR, don’t send an email at 8AM telling us service will be restored by 10AM. Instead, tell the truth and say what happened. You’ll look like heroes for good communication.

@ask_spectrum I know Internet has been out for over 6 hours in 90024. Can you please reply with information about what the problem is for the area so I can plan accordingly. Academic issues require online access and this is a bad time to go down for schools and universities.
