En quick take : 2 semaines d’usage réel, connexion Gmail/Calendar/Drive nickel, prise en main rapide et fluide. Là où ça coince encore un peu : les workflows longs/chaînés (une étape qui saute parfois) et le tri de priorité des mails (des mails pub remontés en “priorité”) pour le moment, je continue mes tests.

@mistralvibe @MistralAI AFAIK, Code mode doesn't support plugins. Most skills and tools are distributed as plugins, which makes them easy to manage (for example, compound-engineering from @every). Additionally, the harness system doesn't support web apps. Not a rant, just a feature request.

After using many models, I've noticed that I'm using @MistralAI models more and more. I'm not exactly sure why, but I can really feel that they (`mistral-*-3.5`) work exactly as I need them to. too bad that @mistralvibe does not support plugins...

@mistralvibe Hey! I'd love to ditch Claude for Vibe but you're late on the UX/UI: Kitchen Mode, graphs, JIT tailor-made mini-app built to learn or understand a concept, etc. I'm willing to accept less capable models to be un bon patriote 🇫🇷, but please step up your UX game 🫶

@volfpeter @antirez @MistralAI I tried mistral "vibe" ( free version ) last week but it was a bit of a struggle compared to Claude. Has your experience been better, perhaps with paid version? ( I was building a fairly simple c# windows forms app for image viewing )

Modern AI resulted from research made also by many non-US scientists (Hinton, the French folks, Linnainmaa, many others). The pre-training corpus was produced worldwide with massive code contribution from Europe OSS. What is happening with frontier LLMs is unacceptable.

To clarify — definitely not complaining. Was deep in a coding session and burned through it before I knew it. Sorry for that.

@piniwit @MistralAI Only issue i had was asking to setup the agents environment, agent was able to edit ~/.vibe and brick the install; had to rm -rf ~/.vibe.
Maybe a guided vibe setup skill for the agent, had a provider.api error, badly formatted json; agent uses Todo's very well, tis very good, gg

I've got codex trying to port mistral vibe to MidnightBSD right now. This will be interesting. With google killing support for gemini, we need a decent third option besides codex and claude.
I have a year subscription to google so i'm salty about this!
