Kate Searle has broken every rule in book, taking side of male doctor ahead of female nurse on basis on one-sided account, without full corroboration, while claiming investigation initiated, also escalating to a Datix report reserved for most serious incidents. What chance did one dedicated nurse have against such advanced institutional rot, like a tertiary cancer eating away at anything good & true in organisation? Some have called for NHS defendants to throw in towel & for court hearing to be aborted to save public finances in a case that has revealed so much. The opposite is rather the case. It is doubly imperative that the rot be exposed and documented in excruciating detail that can only come from cross-examination under oath. Sandie Peggie has already sacrificed so much to have her days in court. She was fighting for her career & livelihood with the full weight of institutional intoxication directed against her. She must have felt extraordinarily isolated, abandoned & betrayed. We now have the opportunity to see the tribunal run its course in full public view. Of course, we can see NHS & Upton on the rails, in slow motion, but that's no reason to let up. They were prepared to throw Peggie to the wolves. This process is no less than everybody deserves. We need justice to be done and be seen to be done. ⚖️
