#SBP has received about US$1.3 billion under the IMF’s EFF and RSF programs The IMF Executive Board completed third review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) in its meeting held on 08 May 2026, and approved disbursement of SDR 760 million for Pakistan. Furthermore, the IMF Executive Board has also approved disbursement of second tranche of SDR 154 million under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF). Accordingly, SBP has received SDR 914 million (equivalent to about US$ 1.3 billion) under the EFF and RSF in value 12 May 2026 from the IMF. The amount would be reflected in SBP’s foreign exchange reserves for the week ending on 15 May 2026.

Filthy, desperate and degraded politics. When a party runs out of politics, it reaches for the gutter. Mallikarjun Kharge calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “terrorist” was not a slip of the tongue. It was the Congress mindset speaking out loud. You can oppose a Prime Minister. You can attack his policies. But to use the language of terrorism for the democratically elected Prime Minister of India is an assault on political decency and the dignity of the office itself. And this is not an isolated outburst. This is the Congress pattern. Sonia Gandhi gave India “maut ka saudagar.” Kharge compared Modi to a poisonous snake. Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly chosen insult over argument - he even addressed terrorist kingpin Masood Azhar with a 'ji'. The faces change, the vocabulary changes, but the mentality stays the same. It tells the country everything about the culture of contempt that now defines Congress. This is why Congress keeps shrinking morally and electorally together. The vulgarity of the Congress and a deep inability to accept PM Modi’s legitimacy says everything about the rot inside Congress.
