@bowtiedstocks Mate, interest rates have been above 4% since 2023. Nothing new there. The RBA is absolutely irrelevant. Most households are already paying 5.5% to 6.5% on their mortgage in fact. I don't know what you're on about.

@mhdksafa That sounds convoluted. So let's make it simple. Iran isn't preventing the US navy from passing through the straits and now our navy is escorting commercial ships through as well. Iran's 'control' was always based on fear and a lack of shipping insurance. Not real capabilities

The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States for the seventh time won the war that wasn’t a war, so the United States can open the Strait of Hormuz that was open before the not war. The not war that started to get the uranium that was completely obliterated, so that the Iranians can’t build the nuclear bomb that they weren’t building for the not war that the United States started. Then the United States which has nuclear weapons threatening to use nuclear weapons to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons because having nuclear weapons is dangerous. If the United States saw what the United States is doing in the United States, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

Albanese Government pump and dumped jobs to shake the markets along with the engineered fuel crisis because they didn't keep 90 days worth. 28,000 Government jobs to go. This will see a few more properties hit the market.

@senatorbabet @GadSaad Use Australian data to push your agenda bullshit. Fair dinkum this coming from a senator. We really need to have a conversation about senators that arnt even born here, if we continue on this path it'll be the destruction of western civilisation.

We really need to have a conversation about women and their suicidal empathy. If we allow them to continue on this path they will dismantle western civilisation. It’s not funny anymore and it’s getting serious. @GadSaad is correct.

That's an interesting chart. Young men have stayed similarly conservative for over 25 years, while young women have drifted much further left. Why such a divergence? What has changed for young women that hasn't changed for young men?

We achieved something great. We may have not brought it home, but what’s the bigger picture here? In the bigger scheme of things, this is still a HUGE win for us a MAJOR loss for the Liberal party. They have had to fight so hard and dirty to retain a seat that they held for two decades! One that should have been a walk in the park. They can spin it all they want, but their pathetic behaviour in this by-election is proof of how terrified they are. AND! After their smear campaign and lies, they retained the seat….with a 10% swing against them! Now it’s time to debrief, solidify this incredible achievement, and build on it as we lead into the November general election. Let’s do it Victoria! 🇦🇺🧡 @OneNationVic

The Albo changes to property tax are estimated to raise $30 billion over ten years. Will it all be returned to young voters given the ‘excuse’ is inter generational fairness ?

I grew up in Wagga Wagga where the kids growing up used to play a game called "Red Rover Cross Over". It was mainly a boys game where all the boys would gather in a group at the end of the playground with one boy standing in the middle of the playground. He'd yell "Red Rover Cross Over” and all the other kids had to run to the other end of the playground without being caught. The kid in the middle had to catch and hold one of them while yelling "caught 123" The kid caught would then join the kid in the middle for the next call of "Red Rover Cross Over" during which both kids in the middle would catch another kid who would stay in the middle and so on. The last kid caught would win the game and he'd be the one to stay in the middle for next round. It was good fun (my three daughters used to play it most afternoons with me) while giving the kids exercise and training for future rugby teams or other sports. Can anyone else recall playing the same game?

The US govt is borrowing money to pay interest on its debt. A fiscal basket case unfolding in real time. Will an IMF bail out be needed? US government interest costs are 3.2% of GDP, highest since data started to be collected in 1940. It's easy to see why the US dollar is on the cusp of a major free fall

Just friends. But I did not know that crabs fall into a category of animal cruelty. I do see in markets here often a whole load of small crabs or lobsters in a clear container on display. All still seem to be alive, or most alive, but they are stacked in multiple layers, because there is just not enough room in the container, and some or many have to be either dead or dying. I'd think that also would be considered cruelty. I actually know one Chinese restaurant owner here. And they have buffet with small lobsters every day. I will ask him about what is legal and what is not.

@US_did_911 @LynneBP_294 Are these restaurants or just friends? Nice hefty fines for the restaurants here if they are found to be doing that, some can even face jail time depending on the state for animal cruelty

I have known some personally who would boil them alive. They would keep them like in cold hibernated state, but still keep them alive. I never understood the advantage of that, as I just do not eat meat at all, and would never even think of torturing an animal, but that is what they were doing.

@US_did_911 @LynneBP_294 No they don't lol, they use a crustastun or a knife through the brain after chilling it for eating purposes and for safety. Cooking it alive ruins the meat because of adrenaline released and turns it sour it also runs the risk of the claws getting you while cleaning prior cooking

@LynneBP_294 Poor thing. Now it will probably get cooked alive. Many people and restaurants do that, instead of freezing them first.
