@AAASoCal cannot believe that you do not have someone to assist me in logging onto your app on the weekends. You call to report an issue and it says to do so on the app, when you log onto the app you get an error. What exactly am I paying for?

@eww_its_kat @commanderkoba @pepperdine Pepperdine is the home base for the fire departments in that area. FD protect PU as it is built to support the operations of the FD including being its main water supply. FD will always protect that area for those reason. Having 3-5000 cars on limited roads would make it worse.

@commanderkoba @pepperdine that’s so insane to me, i live in a fire danger area and fire personnel themselves constantly tell us that when there’s an evacuation order to never shelter in place! it’s quite literally an evacuation order for a reason!

The University is now activating its shelter-in-place protocol. All community members on the Malibu campus are directed to shelter in place in the Tyler Campus Center or Payson Library. Despite any evacuation orders from Malibu city or surrounding areas, the University community should follow University instructions. We do not evacuate the campus even when surrounding areas might - this shelter-in-place protocol is approved by LA County Fire and executed with their cooperation.
