A Personal Update on Eric & EPB Research: Those who know me personally remember that I successfully fought a battle with liver cancer in 2005. This past weekend, I went to the emergency room with abdominal pain, and unfortunately, various scans found a recurrence of liver cancer - nearly 20 years later. This begins another difficult battle, but one I am prepared to fight with tremendous support from friends and family. I’m sincerely grateful for the unbelievable messages of support, encouragement, and prayer that I’ve received over the last several days. While receiving news like this is difficult, the most emotional part has been all of my friends and family who are ready to stop what they are doing and join this fight with me. It’s impossible to put into words how thankful I am for the people in my life. Times like this put into perspective how family and friends are the most important thing in a person's life. Everything else is secondary. I must give special thanks to my wife. I love you endlessly. You’re a special person, and you make my life so much better every day. As I’ve told clients and colleagues, nothing will change for EPB Research. I will continue to produce the highest quality research and insights with the most minimal disruptions possible. I am deeply passionate about the work that I do, and it’s important to stay motivated, active, and, of course, to never stop learning. I won’t go missing; you will continue to see me on Twitter, YouTube, and all the regular places. I’m profoundly grateful for the support. I’ve received messages that I will never forget.
