🚨Missouri prosecutor Camille Johnston was removed after she allegedly slept with the illegal immigrant her office was investigating for s*x assault!! The elected Ray County Prosecutor was booted Thursday after a judge approved a petition from Attorney General Catherine Hanaway. The allegations center on a hidden relationship with a Mexican national in the country illegally since 2019. Johnston allegedly helped the man evade arrest by driving to Mississippi to give him her car and title while he was hiding from the investigation. She failed to disqualify herself from the case and did not properly pursue charges. The man was later arrested in Ohio and is now awaiting trial. Two additional alleged affairs involved a defense lawyer whose clients she was prosecuting and a married domestic violence suspect. In one instance she fired an employee who confronted her about the relationship. Hanaway stated that Johnston treated public office like her personal playground and betrayed the public trust. The AG said removal was necessary when an elected official puts self-interest ahead of the people she was sworn to protect. Public office is a position of trust.
