Our solution: don't pick one layer. Use three. CT-side roles. T-side roles. Overall team hierarchy. Each player gets "star points" based on position, resources, utility usage, and fragging context. Then, a model ranks them into AWPer, Star, Second Star, Support, and IGL.

There is no consensus on what the five roles in Counter-Strike actually are. Every model we've ever used — entry/lurker, star/support, opener/closer — eventually breaks when a player refuses to fit the box. We tried to fix that. And, honestly, we think we did a good job.🧵
