After 8 wonderful years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to @MDAnderson_ES . September 30th will be my last day as an active member of this great family, although I will always carry @MDAndersonNews in my heart. Being part of the most important cancer network in the world has been a privilege beyond words. It also allowed me to become an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, an honor that I will treasure forever. Over these years, I have had the chance to work alongside colleagues whose talent, motivation, and dedication to cancer patients is nothing short of inspiring. I leave with the feeling of duty accomplished, and with the certainty that without the visibility and opportunities provided by the @MDAndersonNews brand, the next step in my career would not have been possible. I cannot mention everyone by name, because it would be unfair to those I might forget, so simply: thank you all. Each of you has left a mark on me, both personally and professionally. Although my journey continues elsewhere, I remain deeply committed to MD Anderson’s mission of eliminating cancer globally, and I will always be proud to support its goals, wherever I may be. Mary-Claire King to receive the Princesa de Asturias award in Spain for her work in genetics. She is known for identifying BRCA1 and BRCA2 and describing the Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Syndrome. This just one of her multiple contributions to science. @myESMO @AECC
