This has happened many times in history and it’s not worrisome whatsoever. You conveniently left out the returns of the investor that dollar cost averages into low cost ETFs during these times. Take 1933-1954 for example. Flat market. Those that would have DCAd into DJA returned 11% average annual return during that time. Much different story.

Imagine buying the S&P 500 in 2000. You hold for 13 years. By 2013, you are at ZERO gains. Meanwhile, inflation destroys 50% of your purchasing power. Now ask yourself: What if this happens again?

$NU is making the leap into the US. Just a reminder that $NU's unit economics in LatAm are better than every other fintech by a huge margin. They won't continue to be this good in the US, but the cost to serve leveraging their existing tech stack shouldn't be too different. If they successfully focus on the LatAm niche within the US, and win that niche, $NU at 16.7x NTM PE will seem like an opportunity missed.
